Well, it's happened. My San Diego Chargers are no more. I'm now in a quandry. I want to continue supporting them and possibly getting season tickets now that they are in LA, but I really do not like the Spanos family ownership. I don't want to put money in their pocket. When they bought the team, they had no idea about or respect and appreciation for the history of the team. They came in and changed the colors of the uniforms, made no homages to past glories or past players, fired a head coach after he went 14 and 2, and on and on. As I've said to people, the Chargers moved to LA when the Spanos family bought the team years ago.
This may all be moot. What with Personal Seat Licences, I'll most likely be priced out of season tickets anyway. The NFL really ceased to be about the regular Joe a long time ago. It's about television and profits, not community building or fan loyalty.

I just saw this but I feel for you sayne! I agree that all Pro Sports in the U.S. have forgotten the common man and woman! To take a family to a Pro sporting event is to take a second mortgage out on one's home.
Let us know where your NFL loyalties go! The Indianapolis Colts are all screwed up as you know, sayne. Owner Jim Irsay is a huge Beatles' fan and owns a Beatles collection worthy of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame but he has screwed us up.
RIP the San Diego Chargers!

Although now it looks like it IS going to be the LA Chargers, last year I started this Facebook page: www.facebook.com/NoLAChargersI got the idea from the Facebook movement that got over a million "likes" to get SNL to have Betty White host a show. Well, mine never got any footing, but I tried. I want to still be a Chargers fan, I've even put down a deposit for season tix. However, I am really torn. I like the Chargers, but absolutely have no regard for the owners. I didn't like them from the beginning. I think I'll probably continue liking the Chargers, but I don't think I will pay money that will end up in the Spanos' pockets. A lot of us hope the Chargers fail in Los Angeles to the point that the team gets sold and the new owner moves the team back to San Diego. But, that would all be moot if the Raiders moved to San Diego, since their Las Vegas deal is not so solid anymore. THAT would be a burn on the Spanos'.

Let us hope the Raiders go to San Diego then as a burn on the Chargers' owners!
