Woody Allen once said, I don't mind dying, I just don't want to be there when it happens. Dementia is sort of the way that can happen. Sad but true.
No doubt now that he has quit his live shows, David can now work on that come-back album John S. Damm keeps talking about.

He played most recently at the Canyon Club in Agoura, CA., a nice little club that usually has an interesting calendar of acts. Upcoming there are Pablo Cruise, Louie Anderson, The Spazmatics, the Tubes, Tiffany, the Babys, Jean-Luc Ponty, America and Blue Oyster Cult. Saw Peter Asher there a couple of years ago and one of the posters outside that night was advertising Brian Wilson.

It is a shame our Steve couldn't have seen that historic concert at the Canyon Club. That will prove historic in Rock and Roll history! John, I don't live near the Canyon Club. I made a special trip for the Asher show. Nice place. I can imagine how cool it would have been seeing Brian Wilson in there. I think a lot of celebs play there because it's just outside of Malibu.

On their website, they have a nice Google Maps thing and a gallery with posters of some of those who have played there: Dweezil Zappa, Leon Russell, Don Rickles and Regis Philbin (that must have been interesting), Orianthi, Smokey Robinson, Dave Mason, Berlin and John Mayall.

Will send out prayers for David. First George Michael passes away and now this news about David. All I can say is the Rolling Stones said it best "What a drag it is getting old."

David Cassidy is playing his last NYC concert tonight. Won't be able to attend but I have friends who are going and I'm sure they're going to post on it later. Wishing David all the best.

View AttachmentAbsolutely historic concert! I wish he would do a Chicago "farewell" concert as I would be there screaming like a teenage girl in 1972!

Hope you like them, Johnny.

Completely devastating news! David's family has been told to expect the worst. Let us here at Abbeyrd's Beatles Page Message Board II send out our prayers, well wished and special thoughts for David and his family. It is a wild, windy, rainy day here in Indiana and I am going to curl up to my Partridge Family and Solo David Cassidy CDs and let the music comfort me. If you hear sobbing in the wind, it is me.

It is comforting to have others around like OldFred, debjorgo and SallyG who appreciated David's career and the joy he brought to us especially as children/teens.
I was too young for The Beatles in the early and mid 1960's(I was born in late 1962) and I was even too young for The Monkees when they first broke so THe Partridge Family was my first band starting with their smash hit "I Think I Love You."

I have edited the Thread Title to reflect David's newest health crisis which is said to have worsened and it is only a matter of time before David loses his brave fight. www.tmz.com/2017/11/19/david-cassidy-icu-near-death-critical-condition/This will be devastating to me and millions of others in their 50's because we are First Generation PF fans. Here is a song from the amazing Sound Magazine album, the Revolver of Partridge Family albums, called "You Don't Have To Tell Me:" "If it's all over, there's no need to cry, All you have to tell me is goodbye." I am not ready to say goodbye to David Cassidy!
