Have to say the new location for NYC Metro Fest For Beatles at the Jersey City Hyatt is a big step up from both the previous Westchester location and the ratty old Seacaucus dumpy hotel.
The view out the windows of the Hudson and Manhattan skyline was breathtaking yesterday.
Crowds for a Saturday at the fest though much smaller than many of the years I went in Seacaucus. The marketplace is barely half the size of what it once was there, and the dealers were angry yesterday that they are up on the ninth floor where many attendees downstairs on the third floor where everything else was were either not aware or not going upstairs to check out the marketplace.
New digs for the fans so everyone was trying to figure out where everything was.
Prices on really good memorabilia in marketplace still ridiculously inflated.
Can't understand how they really expect to sell those items.
Once the first generation fans disappear, they won't be as desirable to later generations and values will drop.
Bumped into Billy J. Kramer in hallway wandering around. He wasn't even listed as a scheduled guest.
Tickets at door to get in little pricey at $78/person for the day.
