In this video, which seems to have been organised for his Japanese fans, Paul speaks from the Budhokan answering various questions drawn from a hat. He's a bit like your embarrassing uncle at a family party at times.
Make of it what you will.

I'd heard this and noticed that at one point Paul mis-remembers about "Here, There and Everywhere". He has a special memory of John saying it was his favorite of Paul's songs when they were playing the album... except Paul recalls it was during the filming of HELP! (1965) - and REVOLVER wouldn't come out until 1966.
A lot of fan discussion has gone on about this... some people suggesting Paul may have written it earlier, and had a demo tape or something. Except the problem is, Paul specifically indicates listening to the 'album' during HELP!.
I don't fault Paul for this... he's getting up there in years, and I'm sure his lovely memory of himself and John is dear to him and quite valid and all. I just figure he got the time and place a little mixed up. It does go to show that Paul was being unfair in some ways when he wrote in EARLY DAYS: "Now everybody seems to have their own opinion who did this and who did that - but as for me I don't see how they can remember when they weren't where it was at". While the Beatles are always the best sources to relay their own FEELINGS, they are not always the most reliable sources of FACTS, especially with regard to date and place.
