I just saw one of the leading entertainment journalists here on TV talking about this. Presently, it is still only a rumour, but he seemed to think it would happen. He suggested it would be a limited national tour only covering the three main cities of the Australian east coast: Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane. We will have to wait and see if the tour is a big success. As a McCartney fan, I hope it is, but I still have my doubts. By the way, if the tour does happen in December, it will only be three months short of a quarter of a century since he last played here. It is understandable and reasonable for some Australian fans to be unhappy with that, isn't it?

No way i'll be going to AAMI Park in Melbourne, i'll wait for the pitch corrected dvd. LOL! I hope you folks get Paul "Down Under!" I see Paul July 25th at some God-awful cookie-cutter outdoor venue in the suburban sticks of Chicago! And I know how this will play out: At the concert itself and in the thrill of breathing the same air as Sir Paul, I will think it is the greatest singing from him that I have ever heard! But the next day I will watch YouTube videos from my very concert and think, "Whoa, that is horrible singing, what was I hearing there?!" I think Paul's people spike the concession food and drinks with LSD so we think that we are seeing the greatest performance ever but when we sober up we are shocked!

Well, it's officially confirmed now. Four shows: one in each of the three major east coast cities plus Perth on the west coast. Adelaide misses out. I will have to think about whether to travel interstate to see a show. I'm undecided at present.

Regrets are a bitch. This is your shot.

Unfortunately, there are some things going on in my life at the moment, which I won't bore everybody with, that complicate matters and may not be resolved by December. You never know, I might make it to a show though.

Australian venues, with capacities
Brisbane: Suncorp Stadium - outdoor - 52 000 Melbourne: AAMI Park - outdoor - 30 000 Perth: NIB Stadium - outdoor - 25 000 Sydney: Qudos Bank Arena - indoor - 21 000
I assume he can fill the three smaller venues, I wonder about Brisbane though. By way of comparison, when Adele played in Adelaide earlier this year she pulled well over 70 000 to Adelaide Oval, but when Paul played it in 1993 (admittedly it has been rebuilt since then) he managed about 30 000.

The Australian leg of Paul’s One On One tour starts tonight (Saturday) with a show in Perth. He does six concerts around the country in total and then a show in New Zealand on the 16th December. We will see how things go. I must admit there does seem to be a bit of minor excitement in the air about this.

The Perth concert apparently went well. I've read two reviews and both were very positive. A sold out crowd, although the venue was not particularly large. He did 40 songs, including Mull Of Kintyre and A Day In The Life. The next two shows are in Melbourne on the 5th and 6th December.

I don't think I've ever read a bad review of a McCartney show.

Okay, Australia. Whaddya think now? All forgiven? I knew that was coming. OK, I need to eat some humble pie and acknowledge that Paul's tour was a big success. My negativity was unfounded. Congratulations to him. I haven't seen all the concert attendance figures, but those I have read say that he sold out the single show in Perth and the first of two shows each in Melbourne and Sydney. I don't know about the attendances for the second Melbourne and Sydney shows, but I have not heard of poor crowds for those. He may well have sold them out as well. I thought he probably would sell out these events, as they were at medium sized venues. On the other hand, he added the two extra shows, which I hadn't anticipated. I was right about the Brisbane concert at Suncorp Stadium; he wasn't able to sell out that larger venue. Paul is still a big star here after all, at least as a live attraction.

Okay, Australia. Whaddya think now? All forgiven? Good Lord, we have not heard back from Rocko since he wrote that he was on his way to see Paul! I hope he didn't "expire" from sheer joy! We all know Rocko is the biggest Jimmy McCulloch fan in the world. Maybe during "Junior's Farm" Rocko stormed the stage, grabbed Rusty's electric guitar just in time for Macca to cry, "Take me down Rocko!", and do a note for note perfect lead guitar solo to the crowd's roar only to be drug away at the end of the song by Australia's finest!

I was pleasantly surprised when I saw Paul this past July in the suburbs of Chicago. Thank you very much JSD, I had a great time.... .....Where both legends, for seeing him in 2017, I get this worried feeling that this *one on one * tour, will be his last? He'll prob chill out, and work on his new (Mumbo...?) album for 2018... Okay, Australia. Whaddya think now? All forgiven? Thank you for all that JSD, that was so funny... .....The bugger, didn't play my two Jimmy favourites Juniors Farm & Letting Go, instead he did Jet & Save Me?.....Never mind, I still enjoyed it.....Ursamajor (Con), did see him in Sydney, and tells me he taped *Letting Go* for me......Paul, did look over in my direction, mainly due to having a camera with a flash and not an Iphone....(I had to get his attention...lol).....I was thinking of creating a poster, with *Do a tribute for Jimmy...Eg Medicine Jar*, and thought I better not....He did mention to the crowd that he doesn't like posters, because it distracts him from his (guitar) playing......Anyway, an apology in taking so long JSD, with the review..Mainly due to the Xmas functions, recovering from the concert, and landscaping / renovations on my home etc ....

Still had to wait nearly 25yrs...After his 1993 tour, he organises 2 x Concerts in Melbourne in early 2001, then cancels it and comes up with the lame excuse, that its inappropriate due to the *Bali Bombing*? Instead the truth was his tickets weren't selling? Then shortly after 9/11, his organise's those NY concerts, and writes up a new single? ....Ringo also can't talk, we had to nearly wait 50yrs? He must of been scarred by Jimmy Nicol?.....lol... He didn't even mention the B - Word (Beatles) thru his whole concert here in 2013?
