I hope this is accurate reporting and if it is then hearty congratulations to Ringo. One can argue that his post-Beatles work was not often of high enough quality, or commercially successful, to warrant this honour; but sometimes it was. Moreover, he was one quarter of the band that changed the world and that alone justifies this knighthood, IMO.

I am not saying Ringo doesn't deserve recognition. Not at all but I am opposed to any self-respecting Rocker accepting a Knighthood. It is sell-out bullshit!
Paul McCartney and Mick Jagger never should have accepted such from that despicable woman, "Queen" Elizabeth. She murdered her grandsons' mother!
