This week marks the 50th anniversary of the recording of the Beatles song "Across the Universe". What would you consider to be the best version:
No One's Gonna to Change Our World
Let It Be
Anthology 2
Let It Be...Naked

Let it Be....Naked. I like the way it swirls an fades at the end as if John is floating across the universe.

I like the Anthology 2 version slightly better than others. But every commercially released version is enjoyable.
It's one of John's finest lyrics and could have easily slotted on the White Album instead of Revolution #9. I think that was the last album John really put a hard shift in creatively. From then on he'd left the Beatles in his own mind.

They all have their own charm but I like best the Anthology 2 version. It took my breath away when I first heard it on the original ABC broadcast of The Beatles Anthology.
