I was watching the movie Molly's Game when I heard George's Blow Away being used in a scene. It's toward the end of the movie when Molly is ice skating. No big deal, but when the end credits got to the soundtrack, it said that the song was performed by Dhani's band TheNewNumber2.
Anyone have any ideas why Dhani was asked to do it instead of using the original song?

It might had just been sort of a money grab. If the estate was offered a big wad of cash to use it, Dhani may have said no but we can give you a good copy version. I'll bet it sounds just like George.

That is strange! Unless the moviemaker was friends with Dhani.

That's why I wonder why they didn't just use the original since Dhani's version was no different.
