With the George Harrison tourney winding down, I'm looking for nominations for a Paul McCartney album tracks tourney. I have a few from songs people said would be in their top 4 overall, but I'm looking for more songs. Maybe list your own top 10-20 favorites (in order is helpful for seeding) Here are the songs that were already in the US top 40 hits and the US non-top 40 hits/UK hits tourneys: #1 Ebony And Ivory vs. #32 Letting Go #2 Say Say Say vs. #31 Girls School #3 Silly Love Songs vs. #30 Arrow Through Me #4 My Love vs. #29 Mary Had A Little Lamb #5 Comin Up (live) vs. #28 I've Had Enough #6 With A Little Luck vs. #27 My Brave Face #7 Band On The Run vs. #26 So Bad #8 Listen To What The Man Said vs. #25 Give Ireland Back To The Irish #9 Uncle Albert/Admiral Halsey vs. #24 Press #10 Live And Let Die vs. #23 Getting Closer #11 Junior's Farm vs. #22 Venus And Mars/Rock Show #12 Let Em In vs. #21 Maybe I'm Amazed (live) #13 Goodnight Tonight vs. #20 Hi Hi Hi #14 Another Day vs. #19 Helen Wheels #15 No More Lonely Nights vs. #18 Take It Away #16 Spies Like Us vs. #17 Jet London Town and Sally G lost in a preliminary round as well #1 Mull Of Kintyre vs. #32 Little Woman Love #2 We All Stand Together vs. #31 Oh Woman Oh Why #3 Wonderful Christmastime vs. #30 C Moon #4 Waterfalls vs. #29 Ever Present Past #5 Once Upon A Long Ago vs. #28 From A Lover To A Friend #6 Hope Of Deliverance vs. #27 No Other Baby #7 This One vs. #26 C'Mon People #8 Young Boy vs. #25 Freedom #9 Fine Line vs. #24 Figure Of Eight #10 Tropical Island Hum vs. #23 Stranglehold #11 Jenny Wren vs. #22 Seaside Woman #12 The World Tonight vs. #21 Tug Of War #13 Beautiful Night vs. #20 Back Seat Of My Car #14 Dance Tonight vs. #19 All My Trials #15 Birthday (live) vs. #18 OldSiam Sir #16 Put It There vs. #17 Only Love Remains Read more: abbeyrd.proboards.com/thread/5982/paul-mcartcney-hits-tourney-round#ixzz5Y5Lv9hgj

Little Lamb Dragonfly 13. Early Days 14. Don't Let It Bring You Down 15. That Was Me 16. Warm And Beautiful 17. Here Today 18. Too Much Rain 19. Daytime Nighttime Suffering 20. You Gave MeThe Answer 21. One Of These Days 22. I'm Carrying 23. Dear Boy 24. Golden Earth Girl 25. I Don't Know
I added Maybe I'm Amazed (studio version) and since that gave me 21 songs and I didn't want to cut it to 20, I added four to make 25.

I can't be bothered to see if these are in the list, but I don't think these were singles:
Oo You Dear Boy Too Many People No Words Must Do Something About It Daytime Nighttime Suffering The Pound Is Sinking Ballroom Dancing (from GIVE MY REGARDS TO BROAD STREET--it rocks harder) No Values Not Such A Bad Boy Too Much Rain
I may add some others later, I gotta go now.

1) Maybe I’m Amazed 2) Too Many People 3) Dear Boy 4) Wanderlust 5) Riding To Vanity Fair 6) Dominoes 7) Somedays 8) Hand In Hand 9) Tommy’s Coming Home 10) Sing The Changes 11) Too Much Rain 12) I Can Bet 13) Here Today 14) Looking At Her 15) Nineteen Hundred And Eighty Five 16) On My Way To Work 17) Flaming Pie 18) What It Is 19) Let Me Roll It 20) Alligator
My list isn't definitive, even for me. For example, I probably could alter the order a bit if I thought about it more. I have come to think that Dominoes and Hand In Hand, both from the recent Egypt Station, are, respectively, McCartney pop/rock and love song classics.

Good point here that technically Maybe I'm Amazed is eligible here since it was the live version that was in the first tourney. Thus I would add Maybe I'm Amazed to my list!

It goes on way to long to be a pop/rock classic. Hand In Hand I like. Maybe the 2nd or 3rd best song on EGYPT STATION. My favorite from EGYPT STATION is I Don't Know. I put it at #25 on my edited list.

I also like the instrumental section towards the end of the song, culminating in Paul singing "it's been a blast."

No Macca list is complete without "Mumbo!"
A Macca Solo Album Track Tourney needs to have lots of songs anyway! Time has allowed Paul both quantity and mostly quality in his Solo Music.
I think Joey use to do one with every commercially released Solo Paul Song and the fun was in the earlier rounds with the more obscure songs. Eventually it would not be as much fun as we got to the standard hits but the first three or four rounds were a blast!

I think Joey use to do one with every commercially released Solo Paul Song and the fun was in the earlier rounds with the more obscure songs. Eventually it would not be as much fun as we got to the standard hits but the first three or four rounds were a blast! I'm trying to think when that was done; I think it was before C&C, but after DRIVING RAIN. In fact, I'm sure the DRIVING RAIN songs were included. So I'm guessing it was 2003, give or take a year. My recollection was that there were over 300 songs, so I had a play-in round for the b-sides and other obscurities, and then seeded a 256 song tourney. There were 16 brackets of 16 songs each. I put the hit singles in the first four lines, well known album tracks in the second four, and then scattered the remaining catalog among the bottom half of the seeds. I did some mischief seedings, making sure "Ebony And Ivory" and "My Love" got tough b-sides in the first round. It was a fun tourney. These days, I'd use the polling option to let the players pick the top 8 of how many ever groups we'd have--since 2003, Paul has released five more albums under his name and a Fireman album that has actual songs on it. With an additional 80 or so songs (counting b-sides of the singles), I'm guessing Paul has close to 400 that could be in a tourney. 16 groups of 25 songs, culled down by the polling round, would put us at 128, or a 7 round single elimination bout. I'm not doing it, but that's a possible format if someone wants to give a go. JcS

I would second all the choices made thus far, it is hard think of one not already nominated.
