I don 't think i want to listen to it either, the decline of Paul's vocal ability can be a bit depressing. He now competes with Ringo for the vote for best Beatles vocalist of today. That is even more depressing.

That is even more depressing. I think Ringo’s voice is pretty good, actually. Ringo is blessed with a voice that cannot be eroded or destroyed by time and age thus shines in his old age! Bruce Springsteen, Tom Petty(RIP), Stevie Nicks, Mick Jagger, Rod Stewart to name a few are so blessed and always sound like they did in their prime. The artist who always had "rough and tumble" vocal styles do well into their old age! Bob Dylan is interesting because he no longer sounds like he did when younger but a lot of people love his croaky old man voice especially with the types of songs he has written these past 20 years. So Dylan's is a changed vocal that is generally accepted. Me, I prefer his Blood On The Tracks style of vocal. Paul McCartney had such a beautiful, distinctive voice for so long that the change in his voice is sad, like we lost a beloved friend. We can still have fun at his concerts and enjoy his new recordings but it is no longer from amazement at his vocal performance as it had been for me through 2002 and even 2005. Allan Clarke, once of The Hollies, had a beautiful, technically great voice that is shot. I do not think that he even tries to sing anymore. But yeah, Ringo has looked and sounded really good these past 25 years or so. A healthy living has certainly helped!

Have not heard Allan Clarke recently. I guess I'll have to take a listen.

Plus Ringo has taken vocal lessons and has practiced proper breathing techniques to keep his voice in shape and I think he sounds very good on his recordings and live. Paul, as far as we know, doesn’t really do any kind of vocalizing, and with all the screaming he does on some of his songs, he may have damaged his voice to the point that he no longer has the control and range that he used to.

Gentlemen, that is why I have immersed myself in the WWL and RRS Deluxe Boxes, that is the Paul McCartney singing I cherish and love! There is killer bonus stuff in the RRS Box and Paul has never sounded better! That Wings line-up of 1972-1973 never got its live dues until now when more of their live performances have been made available in first-rate audio! "The Mess" Rocks as hard as any 1972/1973 Rolling Stones' song!
