Looks like "Yesterday" is out of the setlist as sayne first noticed back in March!
I am glad you had a great time Cosmo!

Saw him Monday night in Raleigh! Good show!
Set list was almost identical:
(Ba = played bass, Pi= piano, Ag - acoustic guitar, EG - electric guitar, PEG - painted electric guitar -painted with figures of people raising their hands) Ba - A Hard Day's Night Junior's Farm All My Loving Letting Go (with brass in one of the aisles - nice touch!) Who Cares Got To Get You Into My Life (Brass -on stage this time!) Eg - Let Me Roll It Foxy Lady (Jimi Hendrix story - played Sgt. Pepper live on 6/3/67, looking for Eric Clapton to tune guitar) I've Got a Feeling Pi - Let 'Em In (Brass!) My Valentine 1985 Maybe I'm Amazed Ag - I've Just Seen a Face In Spite of All the Danger (Story #42 - "you guys and your signs! we can't always concentrate!") From Me to You Mandolin - Dance Tonight (with Abe's "choreography", as Paul put it, ;-))
(Semi - new story - nervous over George Martin asking him to sing on "Love Me Do" -he says he still hears his nerves when he listens to the record!) Ag - Love Me Do
Ag (solo on lifted platform) - Blackbird Here Today (John tribute - also his voice cracked on the high "Oo"s - he later mentioned he had a frog in his throat! Later drank water - admitted he was "breaking a rule" after mentioning that people noted to him that he never even drank a sip of water during his concerts!) "Psychedelic" Piano (PsyP?) - Queenie Eye Ba - Lady Madonna (Brass again! And about time too - I agree with JSD!) Ag (with Wix - also Rusty and Abe on backing vocals) - Eleanor Rigby (Semi-new story - "you guys put your phones away with non-Beatles songs - well we don't care!")
Ba - Fuh You Mr. Kite (no, JSD, he didn't mention John this time....)
Ukelele - (George story) - Something (of course - pics of him and George behind him - some I hadn't seen! - finished with the Threetles photo) Ba - Ob-La-Di (Brass!) Back in the U.S.S.R. (story of meeting top Soviet officials - "My first record Love Me do!" "Learned English from Beatle Records!") Pi - Let It Be (Brass) Live And Let Die (Brass)(he pretended to be deaf afterwards instead of faking a heart attack for a change!) Hey Jude (Just the men, just the women....) Encore
Bass - Birthday (after reading fromn sign that someone's Mum was 85 that day) Sgt. Pepper Reprise Pi then EG - Golden Slumbers medley (Brass)
So overall, a great show - no breaks (except briefly prior to the encore). My wife said, "Same show as last time!" but I pointed out that the brass was new, which added some punch - they also danced to the music when they weren't playing (a la the Wings Over America brass), which we enjoyed.
Floor sests this time! (Cost me an arm and a leg, but hey! We're in a very blessed spot right now). My wife said I need to join the VIP club (or whatever) so I can get front row next time! I didn't see any corporate types, JSD, however almost everyone was recording it on their phones (big difference from 2002 when no cameras or phones were allowed! I guess Paul figured if you can't beat 'em….)

Addendum: But no Yesterday again! As I pointed out to my wife, he can only fit in so many songs.... Also on Let 'Em In, the Paul and the band whistled the flute part, rather than the sax player playing flute! Any questions? ;-)

Great review, Winston! LOL, sounds like you had much more fun than Mrs. O'Boogie! Well, I'm a bigger Beatles fan than she is...she likes them, but not to my degree!

Saw Paul in San Diego last Saturday. You could probably take any review from the early 2000s on, and it would apply here. You know - 3 hours, nearly 40 songs, voice weaker - but in no way detracts from the greatness of the show, etc.
The first appearance of the 4 piece horn section was from the stands behind 3rd base (Paul was in the outfield). Horns sounded so good. I won't detail anything, for the reviews in each city say it all, but what I will say is that the 3 songs he played from Egypt Station sounded really good. Even "Queenie Eye" from New was good. I'm sure it was planned, but cool anyway, but when Paul talked about how everyone takes out their phones when they hear a Beatle song, but there is a black hole when he plays a new song, he started playing Fuh You (I think) and the stadium lit up with lights from the crowd. It wasn't only phones. I saw that many people had small flashlights, so I think those must have been planted at peoples' seats, but I could be wrong. Planned or otherwise, it was cool, though.
I'm seeing Paul in Phoenix on Wednesday and in LA in July, plus the Stones in August.
PS: Oh, I forgot. As a person who's seen Paul many times, I've been put off by hearing the stories over and over again. However, I went with my sister who has never seen him, so it was all new to her. So, I guess I should cut Paul a break. Every show there are thousands of people who have never seen him, so they are every amused by the stories. Maybe he could share more and newer stories, but then again, that would take time away from the music, so at 3 hours, we wouldn't want to extend the concert just to give people like me newer stories to add to the retreads.
Finally, to those who think Paul repeats his shows, a reviewer in San Diego counted 19 songs that Paul did not do the last time he played in the city 4 or 5 years ago. Many of you might also remember a post where I compared set lists from various tours and found that about 20 songs are standard (Hey Jude, Let It Be, Lady Madonna, Here Today, Something, Live and Let Die, etc), although as said before, he didn't do "Yesterday" this time.

Saw this sign on my way to Phoenix, a few miles from the state line. As I approached the city, there was another sign that said "A Long and Winding Road needs alert drivers." Someone who works for the Arizona Transportation Authority is waaay cool.

There has been Rolling Stone-mania in Chicago where the Stones did two killer stadium shows Friday and Tuesday! By all accounts, Mick is back and going strong!
During the Chicago Cubs television broadcast the other night, the Stones were played at all breaks in the action, extraordinary I thought.

Finished my summer trifecta of Paul concerts tonight at Dodger Stadium. Many people were expecting some surprise appearances since this was the last show of the tour and it being in Los Angeles. Well, we got it. Ringo came out to play "Sargeant Pepper Reprise" and "Helter Skelter" and Joe Walsh came out to play on the "battle of the guitar leads" on the Abbey Road Medley that Paul always closes with. It was simply way cool seeing Ringo with Paul. But, they missed a golden opportunity by NOT having Ringo say, "I've got blisters on my finger." www.yahoo.com/news/paul-mccartney-ringo-starr-beatles-together-sgt-pepper-082901708.html

Must have been magical to see them together!!! As soon as Paul said "Ringo Starr", the crowd reaction was pure Beatlemania level. Remember, for quite a large number of people, this was the first time they had seen a Beatle, even more had not seen two Beatles, and maybe only a handful actually saw them all four, so this WAS a once in a lifetime event. And when one is talking about a Boomer lifetime, the Beatles are in their DNA, heart, and soul. It was chilling to hear the stadium scream, gasp, cheer, and yell as it did.

And to think, in 1976 in L.A., Ringo just gave Paul some flowers and a quick hug and did not play. I always thought that was a wasted opportunity as well as John and George not jamming with Paul that tour either. But it was Cold War Era Beatles Politics and Paul was in a very strong position career-wise in 1976 while the other three were not then. But go to the Fall of 1980 when John had new product and was the talk of the world and Paul was reeling from Macca II, there was parity and thus détente: they could have played live together then!
