The Buddy Holly BBC 2 Radio special, 'Crying, Waiting, Hoping', dealt with the death's of Holly, Ritchie Valens and the Big Bopper reflected on how Holly's music influenced the Beatles, the Stones and other British bands. There were interviews with Keith Richards, Paul McCartney and George Harrison talking about Buddy Holly and how he shaped their music.
