I will be flying from Los Angeles to see Paul play in Naples on June 10th.
If anyone here is planning to attend, let's see if we can hang out a bit - even if it's just for drinks.
-Ciao

Just be careful with the taxi drivers there in Naples....We were there on a holiday in 1998 My birthday place is the next city i.e. Potenza (Italy).....So it is a 2 hr, trip from Naples So after getting off the plane, from Naples....A taxi driver approached us, and said he'll drive us to Potenza When we arrived at Potenza, the meter read 150,000 Lire (150 dollars AU , back then) So then he calls out $300,000 Lire, I told him Why......He replies with... "Well I need to drive back to the airport"...?I then had a big argument with him (which i risked?)....Told him, in Australia...we only charge 1-way, what's this 2-Way rubbish...? After arguing with him...He dropped the price to $220,000 Lire When my Aunt, found out...She told me I could have caught the bus for $11,000 Lire...? The currency is all changed to Euro now..... Anyway....Enjoy your concert, when the time comes.....

I've been getting more warnings about Naples than when I've gone to South Central in LA and the Bowery in NY to check out CBGBs.

You make the big bucks as a fancy pants lawyer. C'mon, join me. LOL! Yeah right but that would be fun! Macca would remember me though because in 2005, in Columbus Ohio, Paul looked right at me and said, "You were great!" during "Hey Jude!" I will get ahold of you when I next go to CA! I was thinking Rocko could go as he is fluent in Italian and was known as "The Italian Stallion" before Sly Stallone was!

I'd be yelling out, requesting Paul do the version of Hey Jude that has George's guitar licks all the way through it. I bet that would go over like a lead balloon.

LOL, hopefully your seatmates would get the reference and if Paul happened to hear you, he might actually get a kick out of it! And suddenly Macca has security bring Hofner61 onstage to help him sing "Hey Jude!" In Columbus, Ohio I sat very close to Paul on stage left and these were reduced price for restricted view but turned out to be the closest I sat to Paul since February 1990 in Indianapolis when I was leaning on stage right with Stella McCartney and a young James McCartney to my right by a few people at the now torn down Market Square Arena. In Ohio in 2005, I couldn't see Abe the drummer as amps blocked him but so what! I was even with the row of microphones from where Paul and the guitarists stood. I was surrounded by either Yuppie scum who were there because it was Paul McCartney and the "event" of the season for Columbus or old Wings fans who didn't want to hear anything after Back To The Egg so both groups would walk out to get beer or nachos during the then new Chaos songs which were my favorite part of the concert as I still love that album best of all Paul Solo albums. The people around me had no idea what "Too Much Rain" was. They just knew I was yelling for it whenever Paul was close to our side of the stage. Well, I hope Sayne enjoys Paul in Naples as the European crowds always participate more than we Americans do.

I have heard that you have to be careful with taxis in Europe and that if you call them to pick you up at a certain hotel or restaurant, they will charge you for the milage it took to get to your destination as well as fare to the place you are going to.
