Last night Paul took part in the Preservation Hall Online Jazz event and fundraiser. Here's a clip of Paul playing trumpet on the song When The Saints Go Marching In.

I did like the bit where Paul briefly took the trumpet away from his mouth and the trumpet kept playing, what a hoot that was.

Yeah, he could have had a ringer come in and really wail for a minute. Sort of like George's Got My Mind Set on You backflip. That would have been fun.
He is better than I would had thought he'd be. Although, I'm not going to join the chorus, of those asking for an album of this.

Thanks Sally for posting that. I happened to be on Facebook Saturday night and got notice that Paul would be on.
I have no real experience with Live Facebook Music Events and somehow I went off the live feed and started seeing the same clips over! But the comments were coming in live and Paul fans were getting pissed off, asking where Paul was after two hours!
I was hearing Dave Matthews playing the same song a second time when the comments started going nuts saying Paul was amazing and not just the best bass player but the best trumpeter in the world so on a hunch I hit the button for "LIVE" and sure enough it took me to this performance Paul is involved in but I missed the first 1/3 so it is nice to have the whole thing here.
Damn, I was up half the night waiting for this 4 minute performance and only saw 2/3's of it!
