It was 48 years ago that John Lennon and Yoko One headlined the One-To-One Concert in New York City at Madison Square Garden.
Here are some videos from the superior evening show. The evening show videos are rougher audio and visual-wise from the afternoon show but John is filled with pure passion and fire during that night show and Rocks hard:
Come Together:
Cold Turkey:
Instant Karma:
Mother:
Hound Dog:

Hey, great! Funny, I was watching the Come Together from the other show just earlier today on one of those reaction videos.
I wonder if there are better copies.

Hey, great! Funny, I was watching the Come Together from the other show just earlier today on one of those reaction videos. I wonder if there are better copies. Rumor is that this night show was restored and could be next in line for a Lennon re-issue but we must first sit through the release of yet another comp as discussed elsewhere here. But I don't know Debjorgo if YouTube has better versions of the night show. I have only seen the ABC TV Special of One-To-One once and that was 0n videotape way back in August 1979 at the Chicago Beatlefest, that now 41 years ago! I found a video of the night performance of "New York City" on YouTube but then lost it before posting here and I could not find it! I A/B it to the afternoon performance and no comparison, the night version Rocks harder although the video quality is not as good. Let us hope Yoko One has the energy and good health to re-issue One-To-One in a deluxe version with both shows included, restored as we know films can be with modern technology!

I remember when the One to One show aired on national TV. It was pretty good. It didn't make me rush out to get Some Time in New York City but I did like it.

I was a little too young to have sought out and watched that broadcast. I sure wish we would get a restored evening concert. It seems a no brainer as we do not have a lot of live Lennon and John was ferocious that evening live!

Funny thing, watching the One to One show, my mother, who would had been 56 at the time and never showed much interest in pop music/culture at the time, liked the Yoko songs or at least Sisters, O Sisters. She was singing the "That's what we ask for" line when the show went to commercial. She apparently enjoyed it!
