Has anybody heard Julian Lennon's new album Jude? The album was released on September 9th. I streamed the album last week and thought it was pretty good.

I'm not streaming music these days and I barely have the funds for Revolver. My retirement is in the stock market, so I'm not feeling too good. I guess I could find something on youtube. Only problem, I listen to new music mostly in the car.

I purchased the CD and I like it. It is a good "car" album, a good listen while driving.
There are some strong tracks and even the lesser ones are not bad.
Julian works with his long-time musical partner Justin Clayton and that is a good thing.

I like Valotte a lot. I got Mr. Jordan as well. I liked it a little bit but not enough to keep me going with Julian, without a hot new single. All the songs I've heard since have not got me excited. He just seems so lofty and melancholic. Are there any high energy, rockin' songs you'd recommend?

Two that stick out to me quickly are: "Every Little Moment:" "Lucky Ones:" Julian drops an F-bomb in this song. This album is well recorded, I like the sonics on it. Better than what Giles Martin will give us on Revolver 2022! *.*

Looking at the liner notes to Julian Lennon's Jude album (and there are still such things), he gives thanks to several in this order (not an exclusive list of those thanked):
1. His oldest friend in the world, Justin Clayton....; 2. "To Uncle Paul...;" 3. "To my brother Sean, who's always been there for me, whether he knows it or not...and who continues to make me proud every day." 4. "And last, but not least...I dedicate this album to my Mum, Cynthia...I miss you so much...every second of every day...but you know that...X"
That is so awesome what he says to Sean!

It seemed a little soft before that. But then I thought, okay.... I tried to buy all the old albums I missed buying, a while back, but they were outrageously priced. That would had got me in the spirit for this one. Maybe he will re-release them at some point. Hopefully not too soon. My finances are in the crapper. I'm having to draw on my retirement now and it's losing money big-time in the stock market. I'll have to stick to listening to the music I have for a while.

Okay, I just saw that I had already posted my sob story in this thread, a few posts up.
I returned here to ask if you realized that Julian uses the f-word in "Lucky Ones"?
"Look at us, we 'f-ed'' up the weather. If we unite, we'll get through whatever."

It is a shame that the music industry is so weird and putting out an album is not like it was even in the 1990's! This album in 1989 would have been successful. In the one interview I posted, Julian admits that he got rid of the drum machine drums on the first song I posted and had a real drummer drum.

I accidently skipped over your comment after watching the video. He'll have to edit the word out before it will be played on the radio.
