Andrew Dixon says the 'underdubbed' version is from Oct 14th version mixed by Geoff Emerick, after some overdubs in London, before any orchestration.

No "underdubbed" "Helen Wheels" but it is included on Disc 1 as BOTR was way too short with only nine songs on the U.K. version.
Thanks Deb, for posting the video. Some punter posted it on another Board I visit but at first glance, I did not think that it was official.
This looks like an official video release upon further inspection.
Shame that whiny synth is still in the mix and that the song is not just the glorious guitars!
The orchestra clearly enhances the song as its absence is jarring!
Does underdubbed mean underwhelmed?

I miss the rambly extra guitar in the "If I ever get out of here" section. It never gets played in concert either.
I also miss the added guitar licks in the later choruses.
I like the synth and I don't miss the orchestra. Put the guitar licks in and it's doing the Mumbo Stomp. Naked and dancing.

I should get my copy on Monday!
At least I know I'll listen to disc 2 immediately, all the way through, at least once.
I'm stalled out again on the Red and the Blue.

I hope you lot enjoy your "new" purchases.
I'm not touching it with a barge pole, i'm under enthused by being underdudded.

I'm stalled out again on the Red and the Blue. amazon says mine will be delivered today but it also just left the warehouse. But amazon warehouses are all over the place. Underdubbed or underwhelmed, we will soon find out!

I am underwhelmed by it, meaning Disc 2 which is the Underdubbed Disc.
Some of the songs are pretty cool but the title song "Band On The Run" really sucks "underdubbed" and there is a danger that if I ever hear that version again, it will forever ruin that song for me as I know and love it!

Amazon says my copy is coming tonorrow (Sunday) by USPS. It had been saying Monday. Good luck Deb, hope it comes today! The sonics on Disc 1 of the regular U.S. version of BOTR are good and I am sure that you will find Disc 2 interesting as I did and some songs are better I feel by being "underdubbed" (do we have to keep using Paul's phrase for these versions?). I fell off my chair at work when mine was delivered Friay, the album release date. That has not happened to me since pre-pandemic, getting an amazon pre-ordered album on the actual day of its release. I know, I miss the days of real record stores but they had become as corporate as amazon at the end so I do not feel too bad about lower prices, item brought to me.

It got here today!
I love it!
It is a blast hearing the changes, different vocals and instruments, alternate order of the songs..., and then the familiar parts kick in and out.
Jet rocks! Should've still finished with Nineteen Hundred and Eighty Five though.

Looking at BILLBOARD 200, Band On The Run re-entered the Chart at 156. I think that means for the first time since the 50th Anniversary Edition was released as it was not in the Top 200 last week so this might be its first appearance in the Top 200 since the re-issue..
I presume that re-entry is because of BOTR 50.
The Red Album is 103 and the Blue is 159 which is cool.
Man, every Taylor Swift album ever made is in the top 100.
There are Classic Rock albums scattered throughout the top 200 and Rumours by Fleetwood Mac is #39.
