Did anyone notice that the cover of this album is actually John Lennon. It's a head shot from one of the posters and Paul has done his own painting portrait of John. That's what it looks like to me.

You can actually make out something from one of Paul's paintings? Take a bow, ursa. You're the first person I ever heard that could.

Horrible album cover I have to admit. The booklet shows more pictures and I like the hand painting of title of the album seen inside, that could have been used to make it stick out better in the CD racks. Remember "Driving Rain" had a horrible cover that had to be subsituted with a slipcase of Paul jumping over a car with hofner in hand? Regards, Beatle Bob

Can you explain a bit more which you think, because I looked and I can't make anything of it.

That is uncanny because I thought the very same thing the other day. The circle is one of John's lenses for his glasses and you have to open up the gatefold and turn it to its side. But after reading your Thread last night, I looked again and I wasn't so sure! But I know that a few days ago it jumped out at me! Paul had a painting of John that he showed on one of his videos plugging a new album as well as in his coffee-table book on his art.

If the picture posted by JSD is rotated 90 degrees to the right then I think it looks like John, seriously folks, take another look.

I finally had a chance to look closely at the cover and review the booklet (my 7th grade girls' team plays in the state Elite Eight tomorrow -- we've been busy!) ...and after a close look...I've just seen a face...and it well could be John's. The eyeglass piece sure would make one think so. I like this cover. It looks like the music I'm hearing. Also, I think the booklet is excellent. There is life to it. The successive pictures tell a story, and beyond just what's literally there. I feel that I could use it as a flip book and see the title logo develop. Perhaps not actually, but I caught myself doing that mentally as I checked out each page. Classy presentation overall.

This may be my favorite Macca album cover in a long time, even though it is a fireman album! Good luck tomorrow!

I thought the booklet was an incredible waste of paper - a succession of lots of very similar boring photos with intermittent pretentious captions.
Oh boy am I out of step!

I completely accept (duh!) that not everyone is going to like this. Out of step? Well, the Fireman is definitely out of step. That's what keeps all this interesting.

On Facebook there is a group for this album and I'm telling you the cover is definitely a portrait of John. I've joined it.
Maybe I'm Amazed how no one else can see that.

I saw it early on but lost it. Like you wrote, ursamajor, if one turns the cover image to its side so the glass lense is where it should be, it jumps out. I love "Sing The Changes" and I still say that "Dance 'Til We're High" "and "Lifelong Passion" are among Paul's best one-two punches on any of his solo albums(Wings included).

I'm glad there's someone to back me up. I love this album, the only two songs I skip are Light the Lighthouse and the one before it. I love Sing the Changes, See the Sunshine and the whole of the more ambient part. Dance Till We're High is brilliant. I even like Two Magpies for some reason.

I don't know that I would have seen John without someone else mentioning it. However I see what you mean Ursamajor..Very Cool. I also agree that it's a really good Macca CD..Boy is he on a role so late in his career. I hope he continues to be. Merry X-mas!!
