Hi,
My partners Nan died the other day. She was 86 and a victime of the heatwave that has hit here in Melourne, Australia. (Today was 46 degrees).
Her funeral is on Tuesday (which we arrive at before most of you here) and I have to find (download) James Last's Abide With Me. She loved it.
I have never downloaded anything but thought it would probably be simple. The problem is I can't find the song and I'm not going to give my credit card details to some obscure little site.
Any advice would be great...
Cheers, Nine
PS - I just said to the missus - who has always thought my obsession with the Fabs and this site suss that I'd ask my mates...

Tried to find it for you on iTunes and Amazon.com, didn't see it. I did find a video of it up on YouTube. You might be able to record the audio off of it from there. I hope it helps.
Here's the link:
My condolences to you and your family.
Fred

vixy.net can convert it to mp-3 audio-but you have to have a little tech savy if you don't at least have an mp-3 player..
You can burn the mp-3 onto a regular CD with most CD burning software

That's 46°C (Celsius). About 118°F to people in the United States. I know because I've been in contact with a couple of 'blokes' from Australia on the www.clinteastwood.org/forums/ message boards. Those people have been going through a terrible heat wave for the last few weeks.

That seems to be one of Lasts less obvious tracks..... I can find plenty of them but not that one....

Not only are us here in Melbourne, Victoria ,going through a heat wave, including the hottest day on record in Victoria,we now find that a fair area of the state is on fire....
This place is as dry as due to a drought that has gone on for an eon, hence the fire is causing huge loss..
maybe it will be on your news services, where ever you are...
At Last count..700 homes lost...... 84 people dead.....

At Last count..700 homes lost...... 84 people dead..... It's the number one story here in old Blighty. It looks absolutely horrendous. The first we heard about the heatwave in Oz was the abnormally high temperatures you were getting at the Australian Open Tennis....and now this!

The news here now is that the Australian wildfire was intentionally set, the fire that has killed over 100 people and climbing.
That happens here in California and I have always felt that summary executions broadcast live on the media would put a quick stop to that terrorist behavior that is hard to otherwise prevent.
