I don't know if this is a new TV ad or not, but it's the first time I heard it. John Lennon's "Only People" running over a commercial for CISCO.

I just heard it again tonight. I think that it has been around for a little bit now.
It is an odd choice and ignores expressed sentiments like, "we don't need no pig-brother scene."

Always thought it was "Big Brother". Just checked the new MIND GAMES CD lyric booklet and it's "big brother" in that one, anyway....

Always thought it was "Big Brother". Just checked the new MIND GAMES CD lyric booklet and it's "big brother" in that one, anyway.... Tonight at the office I pulled out my original Mind Games Apple vinyl album and on the paper dust sleeve where the lyrics are printed, it says "pig brother scene." How could this get mixed up in the different versions? On a much more serious note, I was devastated to find some water damage to my album collection! My Apple vinyl of Beaucoups of Blues is completely and utterly destroyed! I have every album covered in those plastic "outer" covers many used in the day to preserve their coveted album covers. Well, water or something got in and it dissolved the album cover. A bloody mess. My original RINGO with the separate lyrics booklet appears unscathed even though they are next to each other. I did not have time to ascertain the full extent of damage! I will move my crates of records this weekend to safer areas in our office. I thought that I had found a perfect place, out of the way and semi-hidden. The environment was controlled although with no close heat sources. We did have a leak three or four years ago in that general area with our air conditioning system and I have to believe water from the A/C is the culprit. Damn! My records are there only because my wife banished them from our home as taking up too much space and being "ugly." To quote Sam Kinison, I don't condone spousal abuse but I sure as hell can understand it right now! You wouldn't want me as the foreman on a jury for an accused wife beater Wow, this could be brutal. Sure, I hadn't had my records with me at home since 1999 but I thought that they were safe and sound. I will discover the extent of damage this weekend. Your thoughts and prayers or general thoughts of secular condolences would be greatly appreciated.

That commercial has been around a while. I like the song, it's positive...up beat, it's John Lennon. We need that right about now. Cha ching. Go for it.

But jeez Louise, there is NO WAY my wife would tell me not to have my albums in the house. I have to say, that's one thing about my missus that she's always been tolerant of ... my collection(s)... especially my MOVIES, which are my life. In our case we actually have to have a separate bedroom which is "my room," and where I keep my own stuff. She doesn't like all the stuff spilling over into the living room, which I can understand...

We have two kids gone now, one completely as he is out of college and working so his room may become my collection room with the historic return of my records! Assuming that they are not all trashed.
