I got the first Nuggets Box Set for my birthday and finally got to hear "It's Cold Outside" by the Choir. I love this song! I first heard about it on the RASPBERRIES BEST album back in the 70's (since it included all of the Raspberries except Eric Carmen) and continued seeing the song pop up in discussions of great Beatles influenced 60's singles. Some 30 years later, I wondered if when I finally heard it if it would live up to my expectations. Well it has and more! Lots of other good stuff I haven't heard on this Box Set, plus it's good to get the stuff from the original LP on CD!

Which Nuggets box set is that? I have one that concentrates on the 1970s and early 1980s (can't remember the exact name), and a copy from a friend of the 1960s collection. I'll have to see if that's on the 1960s set.
EDIT: I found in my Nuggets set. Hadn't really listened to that, so thanks for the heads-up. It is a good track. I didn't know the Raspberries had been part of that garage band sound.

Well technically the Raspberries weren't-just three future members of the group (Wally Bryson, Dave Smalley, and Jim Bonfanti). While Bryson and Smalley are the singers on "It's Cold Outside" it was actually written by Choir guitarist Dan Klawon.
The Raspberries are one of my favorite groups of the 70's and Eric Carmen is one of the best McCartney type singer/songwriters of the era.
