What they left off the DVD are the electric jams with Jeff Lynne filling in for John. Songs included I Saw Her Standing There, Love Me Do, Sgt. Pepper and I think Roll Over Beethoven (sp). Not sure if that was the same day though, as Jeff was not there or behind the board.

I never heard that they recorded these tracks. Where did you hear it/read it?

Sorry-I had trouble logging in.... I originally read this in TV Guide in 1995-The Beatles Anthology issue. I still have it so I'll look it up again. Remember at the time there was only a brief snip of the Threetles performing Blue Moon of Kentucky...with no Jeff Lynne. But he definitely played with them.
This issue also featured an interview with George on how the John demo idea came about...the Wilburys actually got permission from the Elvis estate to resurrect an unused vocal performance and were going to conjure back Aaron Wilbury.

It would be really cool to hear that stuff, even though it would surely be rough and sloppy.
It would have been almost as cool to have that "Aaron Wilbury" track happen!

I would think if they (the Wilbury's) did do it, it would have shown up on the recent reissue.
I always wondered that if Elvis stayed alive- would he have gotten even more schlocky-or would he have a mid eighties rock roots comeback produced by um...Jeff Lynne???

You're quite right, though. If anything had ever happened with such a track, it would have turned up on the recent reissues. Great avatar, BTW. -Big K
