I'm ready for a repeat! ;D JCV

If I was the Chargers' Coach I would have lost the game because I thought you guys should take your last timeout right before what proved to be the t.d. pass. Shows what I know as you gave the Giants no time to regroup on D. Eli Manning on the sideline before the final kickoff sure looked like he wanted to talk to Peyton! ;D

The Bears took another ass pounding Sunday, this time from the Arizona Cardinals at Chicago, 41-21. The wheels are coming off and the plane is going down. They're 4-4 with 8 games to play but if they don't stop this free-fall heads will roll during the off-season. Next up, Mike Singletary and the 49ers at San Francisco this Thursday night. This season is turning into a train wreck.

Tonight, the mighty COLTS take on the evil, cheating Patriots and all of Indiana is abuzz except NW Indiana which is still BEARS country(I feel bad for my second favorite team).
I would appreciate the good wishes of all fair-minded, democracy loving people in aiding the mojo of the COLTS in slaying the freedom-hating Patriots.

I was in Las Vegas Sunday night and caught the last 6 minutes of the 4th quarter - huge screens and tons of Colt fans around. Glad the Colts won, but oh, my! What was Belichick thinking? If I was on his defensive unit, I'd feel totally dissed.

If I was on his defensive unit, I'd feel totally dissed. I know! The commentators are running about 9 out of 10 that it was a bonehead call. I am a little more charitable because the Pats' O is ferocious and if they get that 1st down(and they were very close), Peyton never touches the ball again most likely. Oh well, it was a great stop and the Colts still had to score a touchdown which they did.

Dang Stillers. Yeah, what happened there? I was away and didn't catch much of the news. Was it the Bengals? Did the Steelers lose it or did the Bengals win it?

The pundits had us falling to Houston but the COLTS come through. It is the power of the Ponies!

How about those COLTS? They beat a very solid Jacksonville team fighting for a playoff spot and we sparingly used our stud defensive ends, resting their minor injuries.
I hate playing it safe for the games leading up to the playoffs and as much as I love Tony Dungy, he would put the COLTS in hibernation mode the last few games so we would be rusty for the playoffs.
Not this year's COLTS, last night was a hard fought battle to keep us sharp for the post-season.

JohnS, in my catching up on things, I'm hearing about some controversy about the Colts and their last game - a loss. Too bad about losing the perfect season (although they would have lost it anyway when they play the Chargers in the playoffs ). What's your take on the loss?

JohnS, in my catching up on things, I'm hearing about some controversy about the Colts and their last game - a loss. Too bad about losing the perfect season (although they would have lost it anyway when they play the Chargers in the playoffs ). What's your take on the loss? Grrrr. We threw the Jets game away by benching the starters with a 15-10 lead and put in our 3rd string quarterback(2nd string was injured in pre-season practise) who has taken zero snaps this year in the regular season and then lost this afternoon to the Bills with the starters all quickly benched at 7-7 tie in the 2nd Quarter. This resting the starters for the playoffs has never worked for the Colts as we always come out rusty. We are very wary of your Chargers, sayne. You guys seem to be playing very good football right now. Yes, the Colts were majorly booed in Indy during the Jets game causing more than one pundit to muse that that was the first time a 14-0 team was booed by its own fans! I was pissed. Today I handled the resting and loss much better because the chance at a perfect season was thrown away last week.

The Colts will play Saturday night, Jan. 16 at 8:15 p.m. on C.B.S. but who we play won't be known until after this weekend's games.
I am pumped as Saturday night means major COLTS' PARTY as no work on Sunday! Now how happy that party will be depends on the outcome. If we win, I will paint the town red in fits of hedonism rarely seen this side of the Rockies!

I am torn on these games, sayne. I have to pick a winner to advance in our football "Survivor" game and I'm just not sure. If I pick wrong...there goes the big bucks. At this point in time, I like: Green Bay New England Cincinnati (I know, the Bungles...pah-lease!) Dallas I'm trying to absorb as much as I can so I can pick a for-sure winner, but there doesn't seem to be one jumping out at me right now! I'm stressed...almost as much as JSD. ;D Perhaps I should drink a case of beer instead of a bottle of scotch. Do you think that would help? ;D JCV

To slightly change the subject, the BCS game is being played just up the block from me at the Rose Bowl. It's in the 70's here and crystal clear. I don't want to boast, for the next earthquake could be around the corner, but I'm glad I'm here and not dealing with the harsh winter many of you are having.
