. . . I see your team is coming to the 'burgh in October, sayne. Unfortunately, I'll be out of town that weekend. Hope yuns are more hospitable hosts than last time we visited.

I won't double quote you, but don't let the actions of a few fools spoil the whole moment. Sorry I'm going to miss you! Maybe you'll be back for the playoffs! ;D JCV

An interesting turn of events... Chicago Bears 17 Pittsburgh Steelers 14 I can't help but wonder if JCV will have anything of interest to say about the outcome of this game. ;D

Not that I gave a damn about football, but I'm surprised no one said anything about the Jets game:
Jets 16 Patriots 9 (and no touchdowns, from what I heard)

I wouldn't want to be a G-20 anarchist hell bent to tear up Pittsburgh later this week because the 'Burgh ain't Seattle and angry Steeler fans won't be in the mood for outsiders trying to tear up their homes and businesses.

I wouldn't want to be the field goal kicker for the Steelers returning home to Pittsburgh after the game. He choked on not one but two extremely makable field goal attempts that might have sealed the deal for the Steelers. Holy property damage, Batman!! I hear the folks in Pittsburgh take their football rather seriously. JCV might be burning a cross in the guys front yard as we speak.

You got that right, JSD. It's raining, just like it was for the game on Sunday, there are freaks all over town, and besides the Stillers losing, so did the Bucs and Pens. JCV

Somehow your Bears pulled out a win. Actually, I'd have to say the Stillers beat themselves and ran out of time to correct the wrong. Oh well. Can't win 'em all as someone said. We'll let Jeff Reed pass this one time as the defense played terribly, too. But if he ever does that again, he's traded on the spot! JCV

JCV I'm still here from time to time though I don't post on this message board much anymore. I think the Steelers missed that Palimoomoo guy. You know, the guy that's got hair...down...to his knees. #43, I think. Awesome player but he really needs to get a hair cut already. Anyway, it was a good game, right down to the wire. The Bears won, which proves there is a God.

San Diego @ Pittsburgh on Sunday night. Steelers favored by 6½.
OK sayne, your turn at bat. What are your thoughts on the game? Is it just me or does it seem the Chargers always have to travel to Pittsburgh to play the Steelers? The Chargers had to play the Steelers twice on the road last year, regular season and playoffs. What gives?

Rats! Just one question. Was Pittsburgh's offense that good or was the Charger defense that bad? Congrats! Hope to see you again in January.

GO COLTS!Peyton Manning is starting the 2009/2010 season red hot. If our Defense can just be solid, not even spectacular, then the Ponies have a shot to go far. They're not talking Beatles' remasters in Indiana baby, they're talking COLTSWell, I'm talking Beatles' remasters if truth be told.

Under Dungy, the Colts would often have fast starts but this year ole' Peyton seems like a man possessed, a man who feels the need to prove something. He was hurt last year through summer training camp and was sluggish all year. He seems pumped up. As always, injuries can derail a fired-up team so I must learn to take one game at a time. I caught part of the Chargers/Steelers game and it is funny that I instantly thought of sayne-JCV when I turned the channel and saw the uniforms. I don't think of players or coaches on those teams, I don't think of stadiums, etc. I thought of the posters here. When the Colts played the Cardinals last week, I thought of our Todd. One can take the poster away from this Board but you can't take the Board away from the poster no matter where they are at or what they are doing! ;D

The Chicago Bears are on the bye week this Sunday so I shall be resting and in observation mode. Last week the Bears pulled out a squeaker, 48-24 against the Lions at Chicago. ;D This week, Steelers @ Lions. Hmmm. If the Steelers were to stumble, JCV will have some explaining to do. The game will be on in my area so I will be watching. sayne, I don't know what to say about the Chargers. They have a good defensive coordinator in ex-Chicago Bear Ron Rivera. They just can't seem to get it together. Still a lot of football to be played. The Chargers are on bye week this week as well.

Oh my goodness, where should I begin? This habit of waiting until the last minute to try to lose the game (and sometimes successfully) is just killing me! Luckily we beat the Chargers and the Lions. Now, let's see what we can do with the rival Brahns. JCV

He's suppose to be back this Sunday, but we lost Aaron Smith and that's also going to hurt. But this is what football's all about, right? We'll see how the backup guys do. We already found out that there is no replacement for Troy. JCV
