Cool, I had Xavier. I'm haven't been following the games like I uaually do. I've been off sick with a head cold. I didn't fill out a paper sheet this year for the brackets at work. I sent an Excel sheet. I usually add everyones sheets up, so I'm feeling very out of it. I hope you didn't have Dame going out very far. I didn't fill out brackets this year as it snuck up on me. I watched Notre Dame as it is in Indiana and I was hoping they would advance as I.U. and even Purdue University. Man, ND sucks! They had like a 10 point lead at one time in the second half. MikeV will be delighted as Syracuse manhandled Kansas State. Almost reminded me of a First Round Game. Orange Crush indeed! SU figured out the Melo problem yesterday. Christmas, who started every game but always got pulled after 2 minutes (recruitment deal?) stepped up big time and filled in the void. I had Syracuse Kentucky in the final before Melo got knocked out, but I now think that is still a possibility. Yes ND choked big time. Congrats on IU in the sweet sixteen.

I.U.'s arch-rival Purdue lost a heartbreaker to #2 Seed Kansas last night. I live only 40 miles from Purdue and there is mass hysteria in the streets today.
We I.U. fans are actually being supportive for once to our Purdue brothers and sisters. We need to show that we are good sports.
I hate that thugs Cincinnati and Xavier are in the Sweet 16. Remember the very ugly brawl earlier this year between the two but what was worse was all the gangster talk afterwards in the press conferences?
In the heat of battle there might be punches and pushes but here I think there were kicks to the head and the gangster talk afterwards was awful.
Let's hope both teams exit soon.

Well, the dream is over. Kentucky beat I.U. in Atlanta in a fast-paced game that was fun to watch. Despite the final score, it was not a blow-out and and Kentucky hit like 36 out of 37 free throws.
I have no respect for Kentucky and will cheer for whoever plays them. Kentucky's coach's last two schools were hit with heavy NCAA sanctions(and then he splits) and he boasts of recruiting the "One and done" superstar freshmen who play one year and go to the NBA. Obviously, these people don't even pretend to go to class, not at all.
I guess a State where brothers and sisters screw each other sexually needs something to cheer about.

"I guess a State where brothers and sisters screw each other sexually needs something to cheer about." Where the hell's that coming from? (That's Tennessee, isn't it.) Louisville takes on Kentucky next. Let's hope we have better luck.

Congrats debjorgo on Louisville's win over Florida. It was a pretty exciting game.
Kentucky may be unstoppable but if anyone can beat them it may be rival inner-state Louisville.
My incest crack only applies to Kentucky fans.

N.C. was obviously hurt by that injury to what, their point guard?

Ok, Kentucky won the Championship this year.....
BUT, Indiana was the only team that beat them earlier this year AND scored 90 points against them in their meeting in the NCAA tournament. I think that makes Indiana #2 this year even though they bounced out of the tourney early due to their loss to Kentucky.....
No other team gave Kentucky as good a run as Indiana did this year.
Congrats to Kentucky...they are damn good. Number 1.
Congrats to Indiana.......NUMBER 2 in the rankings IMO!!!!!!!

Well, Kentucky is the National Champion. I hate when they win. Still, they were the team that beat I.U. in the Sweet 16 Round this year in a very fast-paced, exciting game. And of course, we dealt Kentucky their first(of only two) losses this year. Don't get too use to this Kentucky team because most if not all will be gone next year. But in will come the next batch of superstars.

I don't want to sound like sour grapes, but Syracuse WITH their 7 foot starting center Fab Melo would give Kentucky a run for their money.
Truth be told- the University had opportunity to monitor this guy. All blame falls internal to the University...but this is a big time goof.
I don't mean because they didn't let him play-I mean because they let his issues fall through the cracks.

North Carolina had a legitimate excuse with their key injury but injuries are more part of the game and teams must deal with it. No one will remember this but I.U. made the Final Four in 1992 without our bigger man Alan Henderson who was injured. We still should of beat Duke in the first round of the Final Four but the officials took I.U.'s halftime lead away by calling all fouls on I.U. and none against Duke. I don't think sour grapes because the Second Half was called so different from the First. It was so bad that Knight and Coach K did not speak for years after that, Knight thinking his team got robbed. Still Mike, I hear you and heads should roll in the Academic Elgibility Dept of the AD's Office at Syracuse. You guys were #1 for long stretches this year. Maybe even your Head Coach is not without some blame and the AD too. Losing Fab Melo was a tourney changer.
