We did it for Paul. How about choosing one per album from George. If you want to take two from ALL THINGS MUST PASS feel free to do so since the proper album was a double album!
WONDERWALL: Red Lady Too ALL THINGS MUST PASS: What If Life, All Things Must Pass LIVING IN THE MATERIAL WORLD: Give Me Love DARK HORSE: Hari's On Tour Express EXTRA TEXTURE: You 33 1/3: Beautiful Girl GEORGE HARRISON: Your Love Is Forever SOMEWHERE IN ENGLAND: All Those Years Ago GONE TROPPO: I Really Love You CLOUD NINE: When We Was Fab BRAINWASHED: Any Road
Non album single/B-side: Miss O'Dell
I noticed I took more singles as my favorite George track than I did for Paul. I often felt Paul did not choose his best tracks for singles. With George I always thought his singles were, if not the best, then among the very best tracks on his albums.

ATMP: What Is Life (but I like many more) LITMW: Give Me Love (just edges out Be Here Now) DH: Dark Horse (if only his voice had been given rest time or attention before recording this) ET: You (the only thing on the album I care for) 33 1/3: This Song (just edges out Beautiful Girl) GH: Blow Away (Faster is great also) SIE: All Those Years Ago (just edges out Life Itself) GT: Dream Away (newly appreciated gem) CN: That's What It Takes (also have soft spots for Fish On The Sand and Just For Today) B: Rising Sun (just ahead of several others)
Sorry I did not fully comply with your instructions coachbk. I couldn't help myself.

Great idea!
All Things Must Pass -- (1st disc:) My Sweet Lord (2nd disc:) Awaiting On You All / All Things Must Pass (tie) The Concert for Bangladesh -- Here Comes The Sun Living in the Material World -- Give Me Love (Give me Peace on Earth) Dark Horse -- Dark Horse Extra Texture -- You Thirty-Three & 1/3 -- Crackerbox Palace George Harrison -- Your Love Is Forever Somewhere In England -- Life Itself Gone Troppo -- That's The Way It Goes Cloud Nine -- This Is Love / That's What It Takes (tie) Brainwashed -- Any Road
Notes: Extra Texture is quite under-rated and is actually quite a good album, just not in the style people expect of a guitar-slinger.... The best "song" on 33&1/3 is probably "Woman, Don't you Cry for Me" but it sounded crappy in 1976, but had sounded awesome back in about 1970 when he first recorded it... "Your Love Is Forever" is one of the more interesting George songs and doesn't get enough attention.

I chose "What Is Life" and "All Things Must Pass" from ALL THINGS MUST PASS, but several other songs from this album would be ahead of (or at least as good as) my top song from several of the other albums. Most notably, "Run Of The Mill", "My Sweet Lord", "Beware Of Darkness" and "Awaiting On You All".

I did a once through listen on the new George album. LITMW Bonus Disc - Awaiting on You All I like this better than the version on ATMP.

Good version but gee he slams the Catholic Church, no one said anything.

No, I started the topic and made my choices. I was just making an additional observation about the strength of ALL THINGS MUST PASS.

But these pick one threads do make you want to pick out more than one (on some of the albums, anyway).

Just kidding. But these pick one threads do make you want to pick out more than one (on some of the albums, anyway). And of course some people do go right ahead and pick more than one (even though the exercise requires they only pick ONE).
