I thought Paul handled the vocal very well for "Queenie Eye". It was good to see Ringo on drums, but to me he seemed rather unsure as he kept looking over at Paul's regular drummer Abe, who played the more complicated drum parts. Ringo struck me as being unfamiliar with the new song. Well in fairness to Ringo, the audience didn't know the song either for the most part. They were polite but the applause was not even close to Pink or Taylor Swift. Well, the show narrator answered my question, there will be no big Beatles presentation tonight, that will be on February 9th.

The more significant question is, will Pink or Taylor Swift be on stage at the Grammys 50 years from now? Meanwhile, looks like the big Beatle Blast is being saved for Feb 9th.

My little sister, a non-Beatle person, said Ringo should not sing! My good friend and fellow Beatles fanatic Sly Rose thought that Ringo should have rehearsed before performing at such an important venue. Ouch! While we are excited, be prepared for jabs at the water cooler tomorrow.

There are more than enough brand new fans every year loving Ringo and The Beatles... and those are the ones we will feel a kinship with. Who cares about the naysayers? They had 'em even in the '60s.

P!nk and Taylor Swift are very talented performers. P!nk puts on an amazing show, and has lots of solid rock hits. I'm sure if Paul did trapeze work, his ovation would be on par with P!nk's.

Ringo, did a superb job in song selection with *Photograph*, sang very well, presentation with the photo's beautiful (esp the last one), band was also awesome..... Other video, with Paul & Ringo, doing *Queenie Eye* is not the best quality.......Hmmm, even thou Queenie is my favourite song on his new album, I wouldn't have chose that one......Just any of his #1 hits he's had thru the years......With both of them playing, a beatle song should have been a must..........

I thought that Ringo did a great job on Photograph and it was cool that he displayed his photos on the screen in back of him. Great choice since George wrote it. I enjoyed seeing Chicago at the Grammys too. I liked Paul's choice to play Queenie Eye with Ringo on the drums. It was great that Paul and surviving members of Nirvana won for Best Rock Song.

I agree. Maybe we get the Beatle songs from Paul & Ringo tomorrow at the taping of the tribute to The Beatles. But so happy they did get together tonite as well. Wish the presentation of the Lifetime award to the Fabs was done tonite.

Hi My good friend and fellow Beatles fanatic Sly Rose thought that Ringo should have rehearsed before performing at such an important venue. Ouch! While we are excited, be prepared for jabs at the water cooler tomorrow. I think if they had rehearsed, word would have leaked out that they were playing together. This way it was a total surprise. Ringo did just fine on Paul's song. He had to do the same thing on Love Me Do in Sept. 1962 when they recorded that in the studio two weeks after he joined the band. Ringo did just fine then too as well when G. Martin finally let him play.

Photograph was a good choice for Ringo. It seemed like it was about the Beatles being gone with the photos in the back. And it is a good song. Ringo did great. I liked the jacket.
Queenie Eye was a good choice for Paul. The drum work in it is very Ringo.

Yeah, and Alicia Keyes (doesn't matter if I spelled her name incorrectly) just referred to John Lennon mistakenly as John LEGEND.

I heard a little sarcasm in her voice. It happened so quickly that I didn't pick up on it at first, but I don't think Yoko sounded sarcastic. All the same, I hope it WAS meant sarcastically.

The full performance of *Queenie Eye* (still not the best, video & voice lagging?), a pretty lousy intro by Julia Roberts? Making Paul more of a memory Beatle than Ringo. They should have been introduced as the members of the Beatles, not 'here's Paul with a little help from Ringo".................. JoeK, your right with Ringo.....He does look lost whilst performing the song, what a lousy selection by Paul (nothing new with him)....What's he trying to impress Kate Moss?

I think Paul was there to play his new song. 50 years of Beatlemania just happened to be going on too.

I think Paul was there to play his new song. 50 years of Beatlemania just happened to be going on too. Don't know what his *NEW* album has to do with it, even involving poor Ringo........Even worse, he's even got those fluo lamps in the background, which I liked it in the beginning when promoting the album, but now I'm over it...... (a no-brainer)....*Queenie's Eye* (IMO) was chosen, also for the celebs in the video (and whoever was there on the night??)

I thought Paul and Ringo were in good voice tonight. Glad they played together and, frankly, since the Grammy special to be telecast on February 9th is really THE Beatles tribute, also happy that they actually performed a new song. Ringo's "Photograph" turned out to be more of a subtle tribute. Well done.

Was *Abe* in that clip (Quennie's Eye) with Ringo.....Ya joking...... Come on Ringo, do you seriously need 2 x drummers, everytime you perform...... I must concede that it is unfortunate. I was reading comments from YouTube and at least one person wrote: "Ringo hides behind another drummer as usual" . Even the way they kept Abe in the shadows, as if to hide him from view. Much as I love Ringo, it's a shame he can't hold his own. I'm not a drummer myself, but isn't "Queenie Eye" fairly easy to drum on? I kept watching Ringo looking nervously over to Abe for direction, and Ringo's basic time-keeping tapping did not match the "rolls" of Abe in the song. Surely Ringo is able to handle that, do you think?

It's just that I think the Grammies is to celebrate the music and the artists who created music during the "Grammy Year." Since Kisses on the Bottom was the album he did during the last Grammy year, that's the one he should perform. Or, music from the other "technical" nominations ( Wings Over America and Kisses on the Bottom). KISSES ON THE BOTTOM was released in February 2012, and Paul did perform "My Valentine" at that year's Grammys. Yeah, that shouldn't have happened.

Yeah, that shouldn't have happened. I'm pleased with how the show worked out for Beatledom. If we didn't know, and weren't reminded during the Grammy Show, that The Beatles were getting their own show to be broadcast February 9th, then I might have been upset that we didn't see them get the Lifetime Grammy and that Paul and Ringo didn't perform something from 1964. I will say I was very happy to see Ringo finally get to sing a song(any song) during such a big event. Sure, he has performed in recent years on the late night shows and the morning shows but this was the Grammys with all the big shots there and presumably a large TV audience. We are use to Paul doing big events, it was great to see Ringo on one. I thought Paul looked great and sounded good. I suppose he couldn't have done "New" since we were hearing it every other commercial break. The writer from the San Jose paper thought Paul and Ringo should have led the crown in "Hey Jude." Thank God that didn't happen. It would have been a million times better to do "I Saw Her Standing There" as the Rockers love that song, the Hip Hoppers love that song and the Country people love it and it would have been anniversary appropriate. Hell let Ringo take the lead vocal for part of the song. I am sorry I missed Yoko and Olivia presenting an award but we are once again under a winter storm warning and I couldn't wait to take my dog for her final walk so after Paul performed I had to leave the show as the weather was crashing dramatically at that point.

By coincidence I happened to be reading the part in the Lewisohn book where Pete has called in sick and Ringo is sitting in for him when Paul and Ringo played together!
I enjoyed it and was glad he did a song from NEW.
