Entertaiment Tonight says Taylor Swift's re-recording of 1989 made Taylor a billionaire, which stands out from Jay-c and Beyon-c because it's mostly from music profits. That puts her on par with Paul McCartney. Same story makes note of Taylor wearing a Stella McCartney mini when out to dinner with Alana Haim.

On The UnXplained tonight, Shatner tells us Liverpool is known as the hometown of the Beatles. He also notes that it is known as a place of many time slips. What is a time slip? Well, that is what we will try and find out. He says in Liverpool, time moves in mysterious ways. He tells us the story of a guy called Frank and his wife Carol, who were shopping in the Liverpool stores on Bold Street in 1996. He went looking for a CD, a compact disc, 1990's technology. She went in to a Dillons Bookstore. He came out to find his wife, but Dillons had become a Cripps Son and Co. store, selling female clothing. And he noticed everone was dressed in 1940's - 50s clothes. Suddenly everything was back to how it should be. Turns out there was a Cripps there in the 40s. How this happened, remains UnXplained. I was concentrating so hard on getting Shatner's catch-phrases in that I forgot to speculate on what may be happening here. All the time travelers going back in time to see the Beatles in their early years may have torn a hole in the space time continuum in Liverpool.

Brendan Hunt, Coach Beard on the Apple TV+ sitcom Ted Lasso, is a Beatles' fan. He has a one-man show called The Movement You Need. On Seth Meyers last night, he talked about wearing a butcher cover Beatles' pin in his class yearbook. When signing his classmates' yearbooks, he would turn to his picture and write THE BEATLES instead of signing. This was so they would know the Beatles were the only rock band in their book.
He said a classmate took his yearbook and turned to that page and wrote "Buttcrust Beatles Fan Sucks".

Now and Then is getting a lot of press. Ex-MTV Veejay, Mark Goodman, said on CNN it's not that great up against rest of the Beatles' catelogue, but he is glad to have it.
A later mention on CNN, with I'm not sure of his name, said it maybe should had been "left on the cuttingroom floor". "It not fast paced..." co-anchor Jessica added.

In the Simpson's episode Thirst Trap: A Corporate Love Story, from Oct 29, Peter Jackson imagines other sources for Beatles' documentaries. Six hours of them discussing drinking water.
John: The thing about water, you can't make tea without it. Ringo: What if you made tea out of coffee? John: What if you made coffee out of tea? Paul: Ah, fellows. Maybe we should play some music. George: Why do the call it H2O? I bet no reason at all. Paul smacks the cup out of George's hand and stomps off. Yoko sits and knits the whole time.
Funny, Lisa interviews the key character when they were both little girls. She grows up, Lisa doesn't.
Peter Jackson is voiced by Peter Jackson. Many of the other characters voice themselves as well.
The show closes with another Jackson documentary, 90 hours of talking about umbrellas.

The Travel Channel has these shows, Beyond the Unknown, Mysteries of the Unknown, Mysteries at the Museum, Mysteries at the Monument.... They all have 15 - 20 minute stories of things that happened in history.
On one show called Mysteries at the Hotel, they had a story on the Beatles coming to America. No hotel wanted to house them for fear of being destroyed by fans trying to get to them. One hotel, the Edgewater Hotel in Seattle, was about to go out of business. They figured 'what the hell'. If the Beatles' stayed there, there would be thousands of people who wanted to stay at the same place they stayed at.
The hotel was surrounded by water. There was one way in - one way out. Fans found out where the Beatles would be staying and were waiting outside the hotel, getting rowdier by the moment. Everyone was expecting the long black limos. The Beatles were ferried in, hidden in an ambulance.
There's an iconic photo of the fab four, fishing out the window of the suite.
The gamble payed off. The Edgewater Hotel became Seatle's musician hotel, drawing all the big acts, even to this day! Should you want to visit, You can stay in room 272, the Beatles' Suite.

I knew Eddie Murphey was an Elvis fan but apparently he is a Beatles' fan too.
On Jimmy Kimmel last night, Kimmel said he was listening to the '80s radio channel and he heard Ebony and Ivory and immediately thought of Eddie and Joe Piscopo's version as Stevie/Sinatra on the SNL skit of them singing the song. Eddie says "Every time you hear that amazing song, you think about that sketch?" But Eddie said, he can't hear Wagner's Ride of the Valkyrie without thinking of Kill the Wabbit.
Later in the show, Kimmel was discussing the Spotify feature that tells you what you've been listening to. He asks Murphey what he's been listening to. He said that "last week he has been watching the Beatles' Now and Then video, over and over and over...." Kimmel asks if he likes the Beatles. "Love the Beatles!"

I read something about Paul doing an intimate show somewhere! That would be cool! I am pretty much done seeing Paul in big venues but if I had a chance to see him in a small venue, I'd jump on it.

The Edgewater Hotel became Seatle's musician hotel, drawing all the big acts, even to this day! Should you want to visit, You can stay in room 272, the Beatles' Suite. If I can get off topic for a second, let me make clear that Mysteries at the Hotel is another series, not just an episode in one of the other shows. Each of these series has about 20 season's worth of shows. They all have the same host, Don Wildman, and they all have the same format; short stories fron history. They repeat some of the same stories. Now there is a show on the History Channel called The Unbelievable with Dan Aykroyd. It is another version of this same series. It even has Don Wildman as a commentor on some of the stories. But everything I saw last week was repeats of the stories from the other series. I did not see one original story. And Dan Aykroyd seems to have adopted his Richard Nixon hairstyle from that old SNL skit as his real hairstyle.

Coming out of the top left bracket, Rockin' Around the Christmas Tree. Wham's Last Christmas and Andy William's It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year are the other remaining challengers.

The clip had the Beatles singing Get Back on the rooftop, and a photos of Leo with Sheryl Crow and Paul.

Today on NBC has announced that next week, it is 'celebrating' the Beatles' arrival in America 60 years ago. They'll most likely'll have some familiar footage. The discription on Wednesday's Today Show is "Beatlemania at 60". I though they might do something everyday of the week because there was some buildup to the Sullivan show and some after-effect. But no. It's apparently just on Wednesday.

I saw some laments on Facebook that The Beatles 60th Anniversary of coming to America was not mentioned on the Grammies.
But Melanie’s passing was mentioned so her fans were happy other than some thought she deserved a longer tribute slot.

A teaser on NBC Today: Coming up, a must see Pop Start. They'd announced a Beatles' Film Fest must see report already. "The details will make you twist and shout! Coming up on Pop Start!" Update: "This project marks the first time that Paul, Ringo and the families of John and George have granted full life story and music rights to a scripted film. All four movies will be released in 2027. They are not staggering them. With a to be announced dating cadence, that's quote, innovative and ground breaking. Sounds like we are entering the Beatleverse!" "Have you heard the news? Oh Boy. We all support the Sam Mendes Movie Project. Yes, indeed. Peace and Love." ....Ringo Starr

CBS Mornings: The segment opens with the extended playout from Hey Jude. Vlad Duthiers: "There an audiotape of me doing this at 5 years old."
NEW BEATLES SERIES Vlad: "Yes, a series. Sony says each of the fab four will get their own feature length movie! ...all in their own voices." Tony: "So Vlad, who will be the least popular Beatle, on the screen." Vlad: "They all have such incredible stories. My favorite Beatle is actually George. Believe it or not." To Gale, "Yours is Paul, because you are also friends with Paul." Gayle: "But he was my favorite even before!" Vlad: "Even before. He was the cute one, right? Gayle: "I like all things Paul." Vlad: "But I like George because George was such an influence on the guitar style of the Beatles. But also, he wrote some of the most incredible songs, too. Here Comes the Sun..." Gayle: "They're all strong musicians. I don't think people totally understand that." Vlad: "Even Ringo, who was this incredible drummer who gave the music the beat.... So Yeah! I'm here for it."

Today on CNN, The Chris Wallace Show, his five-man panel reviewed the latest presidential ranking by scholers. Washington dropped from two to three.
Following that, I get by "With a Little Help From My Friends". The panel gives their yeah or neigh on the Beatles coming to theaters. It's taking the fab four on a long and winding road.
Reihan Salam: Yeah, if and only if Yoko Ono gets her own Disney+ series. "I'm being dead serious. Yoko is a legend."
Lulu Garcia-Navarro: "I don't know how to follow that.... Yeah on all of them. I think this is exciting. I love the Beatles. I think this will introduce them to a whole new generation.
Chris: "Alright. Next. Calling all those who want to be Martians...."
I thought everyone was going to get their opinions on the Beatles' movies out but I guess not.

Christina Applegate was on Jimmy Kimmel last night. She said she went to Coachella to see Paul McCartney. (A decent crowd 'woopwoop' applause responce followed.) (Friends) were getting kind of upset because of the pot smoke, so they decide to leave early. As she was getting into the car, she hears "Hey Jude". "I was just like...." She grimaced.
But she says Paul McCartney was the musical guest at one of their Shakespeare plays "and he sang and played all of his music just for our (group) that night". Kimmel is rightly shocked, "Is that true!? That's better than "Jaws of Satan" (her 1981 movie when she was 9 years old, they showed a clip from earlier in the interview)."

Watching Vegas: The Story of Sin City on CNN. Episode 2, The Golden Age, the Beatles hit America.
They weren't at all a good match for Vegas. The Vegas club owner were only interested in who was going to bring the gamblers in. Even Elvis bombed in the '50s Vegas.
But the Beatles' excitement that was hitting the nation still created a buzz in Vegas. When they arrived in 1964, they wanted to see Las Vegas. The Beatles played the Convention Center there. "Of course it was a mob scene. They came in one day and left." The headline in the Vegas Review Journal, "Record Vegas Crowds Go Wild Over the Beatles".
But Vegas was resistent to Rock and Roll at the time, to the counter culture in general. Vegas did not want the partiers. They wanted the adults with money to spend.
