Looks great. I can't believe Jackson is still editing. I would have thought covid would have sped it up, instead of slowing it.

Amazing how cleaned-up that old film is!
No matter how good this new Jackson film might prove to be, I hope that we finally get the original Let It Be film restored as we know it was as early as The Beatles Anthology!

Maybe the overall quality of the film archive wasn't good enough for a theatre release, anyway, seeing 6 hours of footage should be good for us Beatle fans. Why Disney+, it's not a cartoon.

... Why Disney+, it's not a cartoon. Well, Disney also has the Marvel Universe movies and they..., never mind.

This is interesting and six hours will be better than 2 or 3! I read somewhere else that there will be no talking heads! That is awesome. I so did not want 2020 or 2021 Paul revising history or Ringo making incoherent mutterings and then laughing at himself! I do not much care for corporate whore Disney but right now I am getting Disney+ so come on November!

Here is a new trailer for the upcoming Beatles Get Back documentary series:

That trailer is very well done and rather compelling.
It documents in its brief time that George Harrison got very tired of the project very early on and the use of the calendar is excellent. Early in the trailer George is shown asking in a not happy way whether the film crew was going to film the band's discussions, probably thinking only the music performances would be filmed.

Another preview of the Get Back Project, this time I've Got A Feeling. George is hilarious, asking Paul if it is called "I've Got A Feeling!"

B) I did the same, subscribed to Disney+. I was a guest user through a friend's account but I did not want to take any risk in getting blocked for the big event. Our friend and fellow Member RockoRoll tipped me off to this fascinating article in The Daily Beatle that suggests three awesome possibilities: 1. There may be a 100 minute theater release of Get Back as was premiered in London last night! 2. When Get Back is released on Blu-Ray/DVD, it might be 12 hours of content instead of the 6 we are getting next week! 3. The original Let It Be could be released in a restored version on Blu-Ray/DVD in 2022! I definitely want the original film out. webgrafikk.com/blog/news/get-back-in-theatres/?fbclid=IwAR22CNpEJTpbaIBdnPpZHWV_pWXSO8sheC4Uqw5rK4uNcnpkTLDb1OS5d3cThis would be awesome if true

This clip is good because it shows you the Twickenham studio where the Get Back project started then it moves to 3 Saville Row and you get to see inside the Apple building.
You see both where they rehearsed and filmed in what is now a storeroom then you get taken up to the 4th floor and out onto the roof.
When the camera pans around to the surrounding buildings they talk about how little all of that has changed in 50 years.
Then we get taken to Abbey Road Studios, both Studio 1 and 2.

Is everyone ready for Get Back? In the U.S., Episode 1 is available 3:00 a.m. E.S.T. November 25 which is 2:00 a.m. C.S.T. and 12:00 a.m.(midnight) P.S.T. for our friends on the West Coast.
No spoilers, I don't want to know if The Beatles get their shit together and have one more live performance!

It's midday in Australia on the 25th of November and i still don't have access to Get Back, Disney plus is not caring about different time zones on this side of the globe. We are being made to wait.

Wow, these episodes are very long with a lot of information to process!
I watched Episode 1 at about 3:30 a.m. November 25 but did not try that for Episode 2 as I kept falling asleep and had to rewind Episode 1!
This is definitely not the ridiculously sparse "Fly On The Wall" Disc from LIB...N or even the LIB50 Audio Super Deluxe Box which I think is pretty thin for a box set.
Get Back is not for casual Fab fans, that's for sure!

I agree that there's a lot of information to absorb especially if you binge watch the entire thing in one day. I agree that this documentary series isn't for the casual fan. I would definitely buy this if and when they release it on DVD. I really enjoyed watching it and thought it was awesome.

I do not want to give spoilers but I was very disappointed in how Peter Jackson handled the Rooftop performance and I am dismayed that January 31, 1969, an important day when we get finished and filmed versions of "Two Of Us," "Let It Be," and "The Long And Winding Road" are relegated to 7 1/2 minutes in the closing credits!

Good point about the 31st of January, it would have been great to have at least 20 minutes of part 3 dedicated to what the group did on this day. Part 3 was the shortest of Get Back's 3 parts so adding more of the 31st could have easily been achieved, and most importantly, BEFORE the closing credits.
