Well, the Cats pulled it out (barely! ) JCV, you have nothing to be ashamed of. Pitt has an excellent team. Villanova, now, you choose the end of a close game to miss the one free throw that makes it possible for the other team to tie and you throw a long in bound pass that sets up the tie score. Are you trying to show everyone you can still win when you lose focus? ;D Maybe it was fatigue. Who knows? I didn't expect them to make it this far! But I'm not complaining! It could have gone either way! Tom (aka W.O'B.)

I didn't watch the game due to a lack of interest but I caught the highlights on ESPN this morning. Hell of a finish, you can't ask for more than that.

I'll say congrats to both teams. THAT's what makes March Madness so great. Villanova, now, you choose the end of a close game to miss the one free throw that makes it possible for the other team to tie and you throw a long in bound pass that sets up the tie score. Are you trying to show everyone you can still win when you lose focus? What a game! At least they made it interesting. This is the most basketball I've watched since my closed-captioning job! ;D Well, back to hockey for me. Thanks for a good season, though, Pitt! Looking forward to next year! Good luck, Winston! JCV

One question to Villanova from American, UCLA, Duke, and Pitt fans: Why couldn't you have missed all those open shots when you played us? Congrats to a great year!

Thanks, sayne, on behalf of the Wildcats. They went much further than many (including me!) expected. Suffice it to say they rushed too many plays. I won't bore anyone with details. No joy in Mudville, as my dad would say. Ah, well, there's always next year! ;D

I filled out a grid-but didn't pay my $20. I had Syracuse, Louisville, UConn and Pitt with Louisville beating UConn.

For the select few out there who care about college basketball, it's roll call time.

Ohio State or Kansas. Look for Notre Dame to choke early. Purdue University is interesting as they can get very hot but also cold. You can only get cold once in this tourney. This is killing us I.U. fans.

Coach Izzo is a master. How about Louisville? LOL, that will screw up most people's brackets. ;D

I didn't have time to fill out a bracket pool this year. Good thing 'cause I probably would have had Louisville up there since they wear blue. ;D JCV

That was a wild game! A very smart player for Butler, Shelvin Mack, made an incredibly stupid foul on Pitt at mid-court with just over a second left putting Pitt to the line(made 1 of 2) but then a a smart Pitt player made a stupid foul as Butler's Howard grabbed the rebound on the miss. It was a clear foul and no commentator I have seen has said to the contrary. A foul is a foul whether the first minute of the game or in the last micro-seconds! I am no basketball expert but if Pitt I pull my guys off the foul-line anyway and have them back to guard. Sorry JCV. We all know Butler's story from last year and they just keep on giving us the feel-good stories. The State of Indiana is proud but there is still sadness with us I.U. fans. Purdue is still in.

No they are not, they got throttled by VCU! I mean creamed. When Purdue was "on" they were as good as anyone, but last night they were not on! Oh well, as lowbasso knows, no I.U. fan will lose sleep over Purdue losing.

Of course it is more likely John and George will rise from the dead and re-unite The Beatles......... ;D

But remember lowbasso, like The Beatles' "Blackbird," I.U. was only waiting for this moment to arise! Next year is the return of the HOOSIERS!

Well, Butler is back in the Big Game on Monday! This year I think they're gonna win it all. It's currently half-time of the Kentucky/UConn Game. If Kentucky wins, Butler wins tournament. If UConn wins, UConn beats Butler.

If my I.U. was in Butler's shoes, I'd be sweating over playing either. Both Kentucky and UConn are dangerous and both cheating sons of bitches! Magic Johnson said Friday on Jimmy Fallon that either Butler or VCU would be the next National Champions. I hope Magic is right!

Butler knocked out #1 Pittsburgh, #2 Florida, and #4 Wisconsin in their region as well as VCU in the Final Four (who in turn knocked out #1 Kansas in their region) so I think they have an excellent chance to beat UConn, who was seeded #3 in their region and who only had to knock out one team seeded higher than they were (#2 San Diego St.) to reach the National Championship game.
