Hallelulja! Just seen the draw for the group stages of the football world cup next year in South Africa. The mighty England are paired with footballing minnows the United States, Slovenia and Algeria and are on course for total global domination in the world's most crucial and vitally important team sport. For the next six months I shall be dreaming of the God-like Stevie G. lifting the Jules Rimet trophy aloft, roared on by a 50,000-strong army of England's finest... ENG-GERRR-LAND
ENG-GERRR-LAND
COME ON ENGLAND!!!!!!

I want Landon Donovan stepping all over Beckhem that I can almost taste it. And I like Beckhem. It is time for the U.S. to finally make a serious run and I couldn't be happier that the Brit's will be their first comquest.

Typical Brit. Let me talk in your terms. And please hold this in the utmost of your British twisted humor. You are a WANKER. Not a minor Wanker, but a Major WANKER!!!! Beckhem is getting old and the U.S. is getting better. What a fitting way for this country of ours that was built on defying the likes of your ancestors 200 or so years ago. After Landon finally gets to 'Pin the Tail on the Beckhems's Donkey' ass, I want a full course rasher and blood pudding breakfast on your donkey's ass to validate my expertise. Any dissensions here are welcome!!!! Cheers

England are the masters of grabbing defeat from the jaws of victory. They are a whiny, whingy, moany bunch of posers with bad haircuts.
The biggest wankers are the English supporters, biggest bunch of knobs that ever walked the planet. They'll sing and they'll drink and they'll get drunk and they'll swallow their own spew and they'll be paralytic lying in some gutter and then they'll want to bash someone or set fire to something but one thing is for sure.... they will go home cryin' .. ok George play it for me one more time ....

Robust transAtlantic humour, Woolie. They're gradually learning soccer, they'll eventually learn humour, too (and possibly even punctuation)(and how to spell Beckham).

Actually, now I come to think about it, I do moan quite a bit and am partial to whining. I also have an extremely bad haircut. I just need to work on the posing aspect and I could possibly cut it as a real England football supporter.

I laughed and I laughed out loud because somebody tipped England to win the World Cup. Then I started to laugh even louder and my beer was starting to spill out the side of my schooner glass. As I was laughing and as I was spilling beer I then managed to say .... you've just put the Kiss of Death on those pommie bastards.. I haven't been able to stop laughing since .... I can picture England playing New Zealand and losing 5-0 .. with missed opportunities by Rooney, Owen and Lampard ... England are so lucky not to be playing New Zealand.. they have cheated humiliation ...

Nobody wants to see good beer wasted in this way. My only hope is that as England's magnificent and all-conquering winning machine advances through the competition, the chuckling will stop and the beer will remain firmly in the glass. COME ON ENGLAND!!!

I wouldn't get too excited about this piece of tittle tattle, Ursa. It probably rates about a '3' on the scandal'o'meter when all's said and done. John Terry is a thug first and foremost....spent most of his teenage years beating up nightclub bouncers and dodging the Law. All this stuff about 'celebrity father of the year' is just what it sounds - celeb magazine tosh for total muppets. Most people just see the guy as a double-hard b*st*rd, decent defender and uncompromising captain. Anyway, back to the Liverpool Echo. Yesterday's sports headline was 'Rafa says fit-again Gerrard will re-ignite second half of our season'. Zzzzzzzzzzz........... Sorry - I just lapsed into a very deep coma.

I think Chris Terry won't last in the squad , even his own fans have turned against him. Time for him to look at playing elsewhere in Europe.
The Reds are in disarray, they won't make the Top 4. They can't put two good seasons back to back. I don't see the players as wanting to win, not for Rafa at least, they're just not playing with passion.

Who is Chris Terry ursa - I think we may find the mighty reds will find some form from now on. Rafa always has a better 2nd half to the season (he couldn't do much worse this one though !). But we need to aim for 3rd place if we can not 4th as you get straight into the Champions League without a dodgy August qualifier. We aren't too good at those. Woolly - glad to see a fellow Liverpool fan who supports England. Lots of kopites seem to believe you have to be "scouse" not English. I'd love to see our Stevie lift that trophy . I have never seen England win any major trophy (other than 66 on video) and unlike at club level there is only 1 trophy every 2 years up for grabs.

I don't think Man U are that great to be quite frank but Alex Ferguson seems to get the best out of his players, they want to win for him as much for themselves. Liverpool has always had placid guys as managers the last 15 years. They need someone tougher that the players want to play for.

Ursa was right - the whole John Terry thing has blown up far bigger than I ever imagined and we are now talking about the England manager making a final decision, supposedly today, about whether Terry should stay on as England captain. I tend to see all this scandal stuff as tabloid tittle-tattle. It doesn't interest me, so I always assume that it won't interest anyone else.....but it does, unfortunately. As the great Bill Shankly (Liverpool manager 1959-74) famously said, 'Football isn't a matter of life and death, it's more important than that'. Unfortunately, these days the exploits of the wives and girlfriends seem to be more important to many people -- who's bonking who -- who's bitching about who's former girlfriend's lover's ex-wife. It's become a national obsession. Stavros - As far as Rafa's concerned, all managers have a shelf life and I just think that - rightly or wrongly - Rafa's coming towards the end of his. The whole club needs a new sense of direction and purpose that only a change of manager can bring. The only thing that's really saving him at the moment is the continued unpopularity of the owners and the fact that no one out of City, Villa, or Spurs has really grasped the nettle and consolidated their hold on fourth spot. How depressing that year in, year out, all we have to get excited about is the relentless pursuit of fourth place and that final Champion's League slot...

Not long to go mate !! I'm expecting us to surf untroubled through the qualifying group against the minnows of the USA, Slovenia and Algeria. After that it gets tougher. However, every England victory will be greeted with a mighty roar. COME ON ENGLAND!!!

I'm really liking Spain but they have weaknesses when it comes to strong physical attributes. What i mean by this is that, when Spain is faced against a team does not let them play their kind of football, Spain suffers and alot. Spain likes to have possession of the ball and play pretty but they just cant manage to do that with players that are much more stronger and taller than them. This is a proven fact, when Spain faced a less than amazing Argentina, they struggled more than often, with Argentinas consistent fouls and corners. The Possible Formation against stronger opponents 4-1-3-2 Did you get that sayne ? Good.

Here is an article of the ten best bars in the U.S. to watch the World Cup at(that is what is being discussed here, right?): local.msn.com/article.aspx?cp-documentid=24496747sayne could watch at Ye Olde King's Head in L.A. As always, Logansport is left off the list but Amelios and Ike's Sports Bar would be the perfect place to watch it here. I may just do that all afternoon and blow work off! www.ameliosandikes.com/index.htm
