Now $31.66. I have to keep telling myself that I have everything on it. I don't need it. Buy it, you know you want it. Duplication is no crime.

Now $31.66. I have to keep telling myself that I have everything on it. I don't need it. Buy it, you know you want it. Duplication is no crime. Ha ha, true. I just want other stuff too. I've recently bought James McC's Blackberry Train and have ordered Sean Lennon's Monolith Of Phobos album. I got the new Monkees' CD and the two bonus tracks on iTunes and a Monkees live album from 1967. I got Sweet's Level Headed album for the long version of Love is Like Oxygen. I mentioned somewhere here that you had to have the long version and I realized I didn't. I got an album from a band called Sea When Absent. This is all in May. Paul has enough unreleased and rare stuff, as well as the archive series albums, where he could get all my music money. I'm fighting this purchase to the best of my ability. JSD's countdown and the miniscule price drops are not helping. I need some new pots and pans. Rachel Ray has a pumpkin colored set that looks pretty sweet. I bought some Rubbermaid bowls instead. But if the Pure set price keeps dropping...

Even if Paul generously gave me a copy, it would sit on my shelves unplayed - for me, it is an utterly pointless release.

Abbeyrd's Beatles Page Message Board II PURE MCCARTNEY Roll-Call: Steve Marinucci: Free Press Copy of Deluxe, June 3, 2016. JSD: 4 CD Deluxe Version only, amazon.com. KC: 4 CD Deluxe Version, 2 CD Version, I'll buy both in store. Well, that means at least two units will be sold of this incredible album we've all been waiting for since The Beatles broke up and Paul started making those irreplaceable solo albums. Paul's and Steve's copies will be complimentary. How many more need to be sold until it goes platinum? 999,998? The Beatles Albums records have nothing to fear... I sold more copies of my homemade 78 rpm I made at the top of the Empire State Building in 1964 when I was 9 years old in one of those tourist record booths on the Observation Deck....

Check out Steve's link to "Opening Pure McCartney." I got a copy real cheap of the mp3s ...from my own collection. It's one of those that you have to put together yourself but I think I'll hold off on that, save it for my retirement in about twenty years.

Check out Steve's link to "Opening Pure McCartney." Yeah Steve gets a press copy. I did this collection with my iTunes in say...about 2 minutes and STILL have the cash in my pocket, but I could put some lighter fluid on the cash, set it aflame and be like the rest of the Macca Hatters...

If you have nothing of McCartney's solo career, because you are a young and new listener. And you like Paul, then it is a buy. It will save you money in the long run from a lot of the other "crap" on many of his solo albums. You get what Paul thinks is his best stuff. Again though, most fans would be better off choosing to create their own homemade favorites on their MP3's or Ipods. But for the pure Beatlefan, it is just another collection of stuff you already have and you can count on one hand how many plays it will probably get before it starts collecting dust on the shelf. And yes. You can brag to all your friends you have it for what it's worth. I have absolutely everything I will ever need or want from The Beatles, loaded on my Ipod. Solo material was never my thing. I have a few solo albums but 1/4th of greatness just never could match up to Beatles material in my book. Now I only look to buy Beatles material when it is upgraded sonically thru remastering or remixing as the years move on. Or cherry-picking solo songs that catch my fancy; usually they are the ones recounting Beatle history from the living Fabs.

Actually, this sounds right up your alley. Me, I have every solo album (except for a few Ringo albums). I'm not buying it because I have everything on it.

Though I don't get the animosity against this release... Neither do I. McCartney has volumes of live stuff from the early 70s, late 70s, B sides, hundreds of unreleased studio recordings, demos, sessions with Elvis Costello, a whole LP with producer Phil Ramone so on and so on... And out comes this. I don't get the excitement for this release. I guess they see ya'll coming...

And out comes this. Right. So there can't be this in the meantime. I wonder then why so many people got all excited over the Red and Blue Beatles compilation albums in 1973 ('62-'66 and '67-'70), what with all those "unreleased Beatles tracks" still as yet uncovered back in those days. See us "Coming" to what...? Coming to enjoyment and having fun? Yes, then I guess they do.

And yes. You can brag to all your friends you have it for what it's worth. For your information, it would likely get even MORE plays from me because it's a very wide compilation with some of this and some of that. So you have nothing, then. I see. No wonder you want nothing to do with PURE McCARTNEY. I think "Maybe I'm Amazed" just might be Paul's most deep and soul-searching song ever. And it's not even The Beatles. Supposedly the solo Paul stuff on the new comp is also remastered and or/remixed. (Though I know the solo songs aren't supposed to be as good as Beatles songs ) .

Some alternative "Pure McCartney" as the countdown continues. Tim Christensen, Mike Viola, Tracy Bonham and The Damn Crystals sing the entire Ram album and more. They even pull off "Uncle Albert" live. So why can't Paul? Maybe Paul should think about using them on his "Pure McCartney Tour?". He could just play bass . How good was that. That's the best the RAM album has ever sounded.
