It changed mine, and I didn't even buy it. It was that sodding countdown that did it....... It was like "Ticking away the moments that make up a dull day..." Whoops, wrong artist. I didn't buy the US ALBUMS box until it got under $100. I played it once, and then started lending it to friends. One guy has it now, and has for 6 months. I just thought of that! So when I saw the note on Amazon's price on PURE under $32, I thought "hmmmm, 8 bucks a disc, plus the package. Maybe I should get it and then lend it to friends." But the contents and the running order of what is there just doesn't appeal to me. I'll tell said friends to look it up on Spotify if they have a yen for such. I'm keeping my money this time. JcS

Fellows(Vectis and Joey), I realize that The JSD Pure McCartney Countdown had a huge impact on both of you and for gents like you, I would do it again for something like The Beatles Live At The Hollywood Bowl!
It is like you lived Pure McCartney, the Solo McCartney Compilation comprising of songs curated by Paul himself, vicariously through me!
I feel humbled!

I saw on Paul's 'Pure McCartney VR' documentary series that the composer of Mull of Kintyre was Paul with not even a little help from some of his friends.

1. Say Say Say [2015 Remix]: Don't care for this mix, wish we got the original SSS. I hate it when compilations give us a new mix. Bowies' best of albums always have the remix of Fame as opposed to the original. Why I ask yer, why?

Bip Bop came up on my new music playlist in the car today. It sounded great. It's going into my "songs for work" playlist.

We all do it! I only jump on it when there is fun to be had! I thought you did it because you are mean and petty! My deluxe Pure McCartney, the Paul McCartney Solo career spanning compilation with songs curated by Paul himself, must be fake because it omits "Mumbo" and any songs from Flowers In The Dirt, all songs that would be on a real Macca Solo compilation! How do I get my money back?

I wish I would have stuck it out with them on their massive Get Back release but I sure don't like how Oxtango runs the charge against one's credit card account months before shipping the product and during that time it goes underground for like two months as the authorities pursue it. LOL, that is a huge leap of faith but that is what happened to me and I bailed out, successfully disputing the charge.

Out of curiosity I checked them out-they are now operating under an e-mail address, and recently remastered Kinfauns using the boots available and obviously not the source tape used for the few Anthology teasers. They did not seem to be advertising the Nagra tapes. Likely because Apple is working on them?

I've been in touch with them a couple of times, though not recently, and that appears to be the issue.

Amazon has it for $31.66 now. I cracked. I'm not sure what I will do with it. Just look at it I guess. It's an autorip. Huh. I don't need that. I have everything on it already. Downloading the e-files would be silly. Dooooh! Blast that buy with 1-click! $27.49 today on amazon. That's pretty cheap. Still think you have everything on it and don't need it?

Good to know the bottom has dropped out on the price for Pure McCartney, the Solo career spanning compilation for Paul McCartney comprising of songs curated by Paul himself. I may have to buy a new copy someday and it is good to know this 3 CD set is virtually valueless! As all here know, I was the world's biggest supporter of Pure McCartney even starting a countdown leading up to its release that had this Board in the throes of McCartney-mania! I thought PM was going to allow me to get inside of Paul's head and really get to know what made the man tick! Then I learned that there were no songs on PM from Flowers In The Dirt and later learned that was an issue decided upon greed alone by Macca. Said Paul, "Let me make PM, a solo career spanning compilation, less than complete because I may lose two or three sales on a re-issued FITD!" I got so mad I first smashed with a hammer then burned my release day purchased deluxe PM! Sounds like I can get a new one with little trouble and at a more fair price.

Sorry to hear taking a crap is such a chore for you. You might maybe take a prune once or twice. At work we have four or five college students. They are like a fresh pallet to me. We generally listen to a New Albany Indiana High School radio station, WNAS. They play a wide variety of music, one minute classic rock, the next minute Frank Sinatra. A lot of R&B pops up here and there. I'll put on a playlist now and then to mix it up a bit.

I saw on Paul's 'Pure McCartney VR' documentary series that the composer of Mull of Kintyre was Paul with not even a little help from some of his friends. In the video for Mull of Kintyre for the new album Paul mentions Denny by name as his co-writer. The only reason Denny's name does not appear in the credits on the record is because Denny came to Paul desparate for cash, significant cash, and Paul bought out his rights to the song. It was sort of an advance over what Denny would have earned over his lifetime plus more. It was really a favor Paul did for him.

And if he put all the best remastered tracks on Pure McCartney from Flowers in the Dirt who would buy the new remastered Flowers even with the Elvis Costello added material? Look at it from Paul's point of view. He is trying to get good sales for these reissued albums so that he can continue to re-release his whole catalogue including Wild Life and Red Rose Speedway which you love JSD. Don't you want to see them re-released. If these re-released albums stiff, they will never get to those other albums and some of these re-releases have not done as well as they would have liked. Ease up a little and think of all the hours of entertainment this man has given us (along with the other Beatles).

But man did I feel empowered smashing my first one! I thought that Steve reported that Paul's new Capitol Records deal has delayed the re-issue of Flowers In The Dirt which looked to be the best Macca re-issue yet if it was going to have a bonus disk of Paul/EC demos!

Has the fate of re-issued "Flowers" been announced? I was really looking forward to this re-issue! Of course, I yearn whole-heartedly for the deluxe re-issue of Wings Wild Life and Red Rose Speedway! I would die if there was like a 30 minute long "Mumbo!" On the other hand, Member Joey Self has wondered aloud if Capitol will re-issue the previous re-issues with some tiny additions! Man I hope not, I'd be pissed! I am the proud owner of all the deluxe rs-issues(even McCartney II which I haven't even opened yet) and I'd be pissed if they got re-issued again with like one additional new bonus track. I would go postal! Let it be Paul on the albums already re-issued!

$27.49 today on amazon. That's pretty cheap. Still think you have everything on it and don't need it? Wow, that IS cheap for 4 CDs and the booklet. But I do have everything on it that I want (I don't have "Hope For The Future," but I have YouTube, so...) and I still don't need it. I didn't finish listening to it for free on Spotify... JcS
